03.01.2022 ~ Menindee Rail Carriage Project ~ When Scott from @metronorthplumbing floated the idea of a community project in Menindee I jumped at the chance to be apart of it. Though I admit I didn't know anything about Menindee or where it even was at first. . So, after weeks of planning and a 12 hour drive, I instantly understood why Scott was so passionate about this project. The tiny community of Menindee near Broken Hill is battling a multitude of issues namely the drying up of Lak...e Menindee. This isn't any lake, Lake Menindee covers 475 km2 - As you can imagine a lake of that size once full with water and now bone dry has to been seen to be believed. . While the work we completed on the railway carriage of adding shower and toilet amenities for the children at Menindee School was in retrospect small, it truly puts things into perspective of how lucky we are and what a-lot of us class as issues are really not issues. . It was a pleasure to help this little community and I cannot wait to share with everyone photos and videos of what we achieved, but for now here are some shots of the many great sunsets we witnessed and the Lake Menindee at present. @ Menindee, New South Wales See more
