22.01.2022 We are starting to raise funds for a third season of Real Talk. So far Forefront has been 100% community funded (with financial support from the founder). This allows us to bring you these videos with no advertising, no pushing of products and no strings attached. We are uncompromising about this and believe the message is too important to dilute by pushing products or advertisement. If you are able to help out in anyway, whether it be $5, $50 or $500, all donations are appr...eciated and will go a long way towards reducing the stigma and providing support to those experiencing mental health issues.Click on the link to donate. https://gofund.me/1f84945d Through sharing comes understanding. #Jointheconversation

18.01.2022 Although certain activities such exercise and meditation can be helpful in managing ones mental health, saying things like "You just need to get some exercise" or "You just need to goo outside and get some sunlight" can be quite hurtful to people experiencing serious mental health issues. People experiencing complex mental health issues can be in such a place that even the smallest things like going outside can be an unimaginable task. When you suffer from mental health issue...s, it's not as easy as just "going outside", and giving this type of advice can often cause people to close off even more. Simplyfying the issue to the point that suggests their mental health can be fixed by "going for a run" or "eating healthy" can be extremely offensive and shows that you don't understand what they are experiencing. Instead, try saying things like "Would you like to go for a run with me". Attempting to engage them in an activity avoids implying that there is an "easy fix" to their issues and shows support and understanding. Another example is bringing them a healthy meal instead of saying "You should eat more healthy food". Just because something is easy for you, doesn't mean it's easy for everyone.
