21.01.2022 Hi Team I am participating in the cancer council’s longest day golf challenge down at Wollongong on the 4th of December. I am playing 36 holes in one day to raise awareness for cancer and to raise some much-needed funds for those who need it the most. I am doing this in honour of my Father in Law Anthony Webb.... As some of you may know Kiara, my partner’s father lost his battle with cancer in September last year. We have seen firsthand the financial struggles a loved can face because of cancer treatments and the hardship it has not only on the patient but also the family trying to the pay bills. But at the same time, others live a normal life whilst their world is being torn apart. The Cancer Council/ Leukemia Foundation helped our family when we needed it the most, and I would like to create the opportunity to help another family. We have placed some donation boxes at the Office in Peisley street and at the workshops if you would like to help me contribute to this cause, the boxes will also have a QR code for anyone that would like to donate but don’t carry cash. He helped raise funds for Little Jud and have now made the decision to raise funds for Cancer. I'm chopping my hair and need your help!... I have made the decision to try help make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition. Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Well done Guys!! ... This is a message from Ronald McDonald House: All thanks to supporters like you! Hi Toby, Have you heard the news? Not only did the Ride for Judd team make it safely, soundly, and impressively quickly through their 230km ride, but thanks to your incredible support the fundraising total is, drum roll, please... $110,000 (and counting!) That is incredible! To give some perspective, on average it costs Ronald McDonald House Westmead $160 per night to support one family. So, together, you have raised enough to cover 687 nights of accommodation. Let's just read that again. Together, you have raised enough to cover 687 nights of accommodation for a seriously ill child and their family. The difference you have made for seriously ill children and their families is everlasting and truly priceless. For families like the Cantrills, having a home-away-from-home where you can stay close while going through some of the toughest times is a precious gift that you have allowed to continue to happen.
