21.01.2022 A motorist has been robbed of cash and other items after being pulled over in Adelaides north by men who appeared to be impersonating police. In the second inc...ident of its type reported to SA Police this month, the driver was travelling along Spains Rd, Salisbury about 10pm last night when a vehicle behind him flashed its beam headlights and activated a blue flashing light on the dashboard. The motorist pulled his white Toyota Corolla sedan over to the side of the road near Montana Drive and was approached by two men, one of whom was armed with a machete. The suspects threatened the victim before stealing cash, a sports bag and a suitcase containing clothing from within the vehicle. The victim did not receive any physical injuries during the incident. Police are aware of a similar incident which occurred about 2.30pm on Friday 3 February on the Thiele Highway between Kapunda and Eudunda, Detective Chief Inspector Shane Addison, from the Elizabeth Local Service Area, said. The suspect descriptions do not match however Elizabeth CIB and Barossa CIB are investigating any potential connection between these two incidents." The two suspects, along with a third person who did not get out of the vehicle, drove away after the robbery and were last seen heading north-west along Spains Road towards the Hollywood Plaza Shopping Centre. The armed suspect is described as being aged about 50, of Caucasian appearance, about 178cm tall with short dark hair. Wearing a black T-shirt and dark jeans, he was very thin, had unshaven stubble and missing teeth, along with a black cursive writing tattoo on the left side of his neck. The second suspect is described as being aged 20, with dark hair and wearing gloves. The victim was unable to describe the third suspect or the vehicle.
