25.01.2022 Chris picking up the shopping on his way home!

23.01.2022 Guess you've all heard about the ban on the flimsy plastic shopping bags. From 1st July, we can no longer give you these for your shopping. We only have a limited number of boxes, so can you please bring your own bags or box put your produce into. In the meantime we will look into alternatives- unfortunately paper sacks are very expensive and damp vegies ruin them easily. Has anyone got any other ideas?

23.01.2022 Hi everyone! We are open every day until Christmas, including all day on Sunday, Christmas Eve.

21.01.2022 Hi everyone. We've decided that the farm shed will be closed for a few more months. Sorry for any inconvenience.

21.01.2022 We've got a shed full of them so pumpkins are $1 each. Big ones $2 and $2.50.

20.01.2022 Ok, here's some things you've been waiting for! Lovely cauliflowers just in, grown near Toowoomba, hass avocadoes (spray free!), and locally grown kale (3 varieties).

20.01.2022 Debbie has been pickling non stop, getting all her yummy pickled vegies, jams and chutneys ready for the entertaining season!

20.01.2022 Well the sign says it all really! Local figs, $2 for a bag (250 grams). 4 figs per bag.

19.01.2022 Lovely local produce- Spray Free! Mixed colour grape tomatoes ($2 punnet or 2 for $3 50), eggplants ($1 to $2 each), lebanese cucumbers ($2.50 kg).

19.01.2022 Hi everyone: a notice about the hours the shed will be open. As of this week, we will have the shed open on Saturdays only, all day from 7.30 am to 5.00 pm. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.

18.01.2022 Hi everyone. The shed will be closed Thursday and Friday (20 - 21 September). Sorry for any inconvenience.

17.01.2022 Open this Saturday 26th January, Australia Day!

16.01.2022 For those who are unaware of the scope of the Inland Rail Project please take note. The proposed route is planned for the northern side of the current rail line...s (on a separate track). The proposed height for this new line is about a metre higher than the track is at the moment. The buffer zone on the northern side will be out in the middle of Railway St. For those familiar with current crossing, you will understand that a drive over crossing will be almost impossible. Seeing that the town is prone to flooding, an underpass is out of the question. An overpass is the only way to keep the both sides of town connected but...how and where?? Remember the new track is higher, the trains will be 1.6km long and will be carrying double stacked shipping containers! This is only one point we are concerned with and this is why we are being proactive. We have two representatives on the consultive committee for this project and will be holding project coordinators to account on all points of the terms of reference for our town and the wider community. Please feel free to voice your concerns here and we will pass them onto our representatives. Thank you. See more

12.01.2022 Working on ways to reduce plastic waste...we have swapped a few more things over to the half kg/ 1 kg buckets: just bring the bucket up to the counter. And, as usual, if you ever need just one or two of something, don't hesitate to ask us.

12.01.2022 Easter hours: Good Friday- closed Saturday- open all day from 8.00 am Sunday- closed Monday- closed... Tuesday- closed Have a safe and happy break everyone! See more

11.01.2022 ROADSIDE STALLS RETURN TO THE LOCKYER VALLEY MEET TONY TOMATO! The Lockyer Valley Regional Council has been actively encouraging the roadside fruit and... veggie stall and one of the most well-known local owners is Tony Tomato! His name is actually Tony Annand and the roadside stall is near Forest Hill. Well I used to grow a fair few tomatoes and so Tony and tomato when together. Im stuck with it now, Tony Tomato said. Supermarkets took over in the last 20 or 30 years but I think people now want to know exactly where their produce comes from and they are particularly interested in what is being used on it.

10.01.2022 Vegie News! Well, phew, cooler weather at last, and the good growing season is here. For lovers of fresh radishes, these are only about a week away from being ready. Same for the asian greens (bok choy/pak choy) - these are looking very nice too. We are still harvesting pumpkins and have filled the back shed up with these for the cooler months coming. The okra is still producing, although it is a vegetable that loves heat so it won't be available in winter. Beetroot, turnip, silverbeet and kohlrabi seedlings are growing, and the next garlic crop is up - the cloves have produced shoots and are forming nice little roots.

09.01.2022 Colours of autumn....locally grown persimmons and figs. These persimmons are the type that you can eat hard or soft.

09.01.2022 The record for first beanie day of the year has been broken!

08.01.2022 A couple of produce boxes heading off to Forest Hill State School for their Christmas raffle. All the best for the upcoming holidays everyone!

07.01.2022 Pumpkin soup weather! These ones are a little small !! but we have lots harvested and in the shed, lovely japs and butternuts at a great price: most range from $1 to $2.50 for good sized pumpkins.

06.01.2022 Some bright spring colours here...white spring onions (very sweet), orange bunched baby carrots, pink radishes, and green leafy spinach and bok choy. All spray free!

06.01.2022 How are your gardens faring after these mornings? Our home garden has quite a few new black plants, but luckily the silverbeet crop on the farm has escaped with only minor frost damage. Everything else vegie wise can tolerate the frosts, although the radishes are just refusing to grow bigger in the cold conditions. Hopefully we'll have some ready for you next week.

05.01.2022 The shed won't be open until this afternoon unfortunately, once again apologies!

04.01.2022 Yummy locally grown cherry tomatoes - $3 for a half kg bag or $2 punnet. So easy to use in all sorts of dishes.

04.01.2022 Hello again and Happy New Year! The shop will be closed now up until and including Thursday 11th January. If you are having time off yourselves, all the best for happy and safe holidays.

03.01.2022 Hello again everyone. Due to recovery from surgery the shed will be closed for the rest of February. Apologies for any inconvenience.

02.01.2022 Hi everyone. We will be closed this week. See you again on Wednesday 16th January. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and a relaxing time if on holidays.

01.01.2022 Getting the bins ready for the annual garlic harvest....the holes are punched in the sides to allow the air to flow around the garlic. Once it's nicely dried it will keep through to next winter, as garlic is only planted and harvested once per year.

01.01.2022 We are open Australia Day- if you need any vegetables or fruit.

01.01.2022 Hi everyone. The shop will be closed this Saturday 1 February due to illness.
