25.01.2022 COVID UPDATE As Victoria is going back into Stage 4 lockdown, please see the updated information below: Along with the below procedures please ensure:... a mask is worn at all times. This is for both consultations & carpark collections when in the building, please stand on the marked floor signs & avoid leaning on the reception desk if you are unable to enter the clinic on your own, your pet will be brought in for the examination whilst you remain in your car at this stage, grooming will still be going ahead, but will update those necessary if we need too Thank you to all our clients during this time and will continue to update you with any new information!

25.01.2022 A little heartwarming moment to brighten your day This poor cat was bought in as a stray into our clinic a couple months ago. He was in very poor condition with a lot of skin issues. The second and third photo is what he looked like when arrived at our clinic. The team at Forest Hill Vet assessed his condition, and provided initial treatment which included antibiotics and parasite treatment as well as TLC! He was then taken to Animal Aid for more comprehensive care. After 10 weeks of foster care and treatment, he is looking like a completely new cat, now named ‘Wombat.’ We have also been told that he is getting adopted by his foster carers. How amazing! The team here at the clinic is super happy that is getting a new lease on life surrounded by people who love him.

Since the new announcement, our clinic protocols have been updated and will be in place from Monday 2nd November 2020.... Our Covid-19 measures remain in places as follows: One person per pet per consultation may enter the building. Extra people will need to wait outside or in your car. If you have dependants that are unable to be left unattended, the consult will become contactless and be performed over the phone Our front door will still remain locked during this time Appointments for consultations can be made as normal by calling the clinic Please call us when you arrive in the car park to let us know you are here. If the veterinarian is currently with his previous consult, he will be with you shortly When ready, the attending veterinarian will escort you straight into the consultation room The veterinarian will open and close the doors for you Please use the hand sanitiser provided when you arrive & we suggest you use it when you leave our hospital When you come to the clinic, please make sure you are wearing a mask We will thoroughly disinfect the consultation rooms after every consult. Please don’t select pet foods or merchandise. Our staff will do that for you Contact-less payments are preferred Payments following consult will either be done in the consult room or in the car park If you require medication, parasite control or food for your pet, please call ahead so we can organise it for you. We also ask that you pay over the phone at this time Medications and food will be brought out to you when you arrive We would like to extend a huge thank you to all our loyal clients and to our wonderful hard-working team for your collective commitment towards making the Forest Hill Veterinary Hospital a safe place to visit and work. 15.01.2022 This March, Nurse Georgia is challenging herself to swim to save lives Did you know that suicide is the leading cause of death for young people in Australia? That means that each year, more young people die by suicide than in car accidents or from cancer. Mental health struggles are common within the veterinary industry with the statistics showing that vets are 4 times more likely to take their own life than the general population. This also includes all members of the ...veterinary team including the nurses, receptionists, kennel hands and anyone else involved in animal welfare. The team at Forest Hill Vets are extremely proud of Georgia and if you would like to donate to this amazing cause, please see the link below. https://www.lapsforlife.com.au/f/georgiaryan/laps-for-life

10.01.2022 We just want to say another huge thank you to all our clients who have been supporting us during this time. We received this lovely goodie bag from one of our clients today. Safe to say, all staff will tuck into this quickly. We hope to have you all back inside the clinic soon

10.01.2022 Say hello to cute little Alyssa! This adorable brushtail possum was handed into the clinic last week, orphaned and dehyrated. Nurse Georgia brought her home and looked after her, doing constant nightly feeds until she was ready to be given to a shelter. We are very happy to report that she's doing really well and getting spoilt by all the carers at Aurora Wildlife Shelter. Amazing job, Georgia!

07.01.2022 Our hospital sign on the nature strip is currently having a makeover! We are still open as normal. Covid normal that is!!
