25.01.2022 Give it less than a month and these will be ready

25.01.2022 As you can see the weeds took over the vegetable patch. Time to get it ready for summer. 1. De-weed the patch. 2. Put down lots of newspaper. 3. Wet the newspaper. 4. Cover with grass clippings. 5. Now wait for the vegetables to grow. The newspapers will prevent the weeds from growing again and also retain in water for your vegetables.

24.01.2022 Garden tips: dont throw out your old newspapers. First wet them with a hose. Then layer them around the base of your plants. Then cover them with compost. This method will ensure that weeds will not grow next to your plant.

23.01.2022 Worms seem happy this morning.

23.01.2022 The chillies are a good size they just need to ripen up first before cooking.

22.01.2022 1x batch of chillies picked.

22.01.2022 You all know that composting worms make worm tea which is a great source of natural fertilizer for your plants and lawn. Here is how i collect mine.

22.01.2022 Morning gardeners. I took the tarp off one of my farms today. As you can see its teeming with worms, they must be liking this spring weather.

20.01.2022 People ask me alot "what foods do i feed my composting worms?". Well have a look.

20.01.2022 I believe that one of the keys to gardening is to have a cycle of plants growing. Once your old plants die replace them with new ones. Here is a new batch of chillies growing.

20.01.2022 Another batch of capsicums on the go.

20.01.2022 After a long hiatus worms are back online. Only this time I have a much smaller worm farm. PM if you need any. $5.00 for roughly 100 composting worms.

19.01.2022 Hey gardeners. Please share my page around. Im trying to hit 150 "likes " by the end of the week. :)

19.01.2022 Morning gardeners. Worms have been off line for a bit due to all of the wet rain. Give them time to dry out and they will be available shortly.

19.01.2022 Worms are now dried out and back online. Im available this weekend to take your orders.

18.01.2022 Its been an unusually warm winter here in Queensland. The tomato plants are already growing and the chillies are ready for cooking.

18.01.2022 I think that everyone should learn how to garden. Its a fun hobby and you can make fresh healthy food from it. Im also happy to start swapping plants with people. My next project is to grow coffee!

17.01.2022 If anyone wants tomatoes this summer just come and see me.

16.01.2022 The capsicums are starting to grow. Fresh produce in a month im hoping!

14.01.2022 Going to have lots of chillies to cook with this summer.

14.01.2022 With the warm weather coming now is probably the best time to start planting a new batch of tomatos. Give it about a month and this one should be producing.

13.01.2022 More hot compost is on its way. On average these grass clippings should turn to rich soil in about 2 to 3 months. Only once it has cooled down then you can add the worms to finish off the job.

11.01.2022 Why is there a cat just sitting in my vegetable patch??

11.01.2022 Hey gardeners. Dont throw out your kitchen scraps. Save them up in a compost bin. Its all good food for your composting worms.

11.01.2022 Hey gardeners. You don't have to spend alot of money on expensive rain water tanks. Just put out an old blow up pool which cost about $15.00 at the time and collect all the rain water that way. Rain water is better to use on your plants than hose water.

10.01.2022 If anyone has any old newspapers that they are throwing out and they are in the forest lake suburb please just drop it all on my front lawn. I will make good use of it. Cheers.

10.01.2022 Fresh tomatoes are ready for cooking!

08.01.2022 Came home after 2 weeks away and look what i find. Big red tomatoes!

08.01.2022 Fresh vegetables for dinner tonight.

06.01.2022 Adding composting worms to your plants soil improves the vegetables that they produce

05.01.2022 Hey gardeners. For those of you in Brisbane it will be raining tomorrow. Put out your containers to catch the rain water as it is so much better than using tap water on your plants. As per normal keep sharing the site with your friends. I really appreciate your support. :)

05.01.2022 The tomato plant obviously liked all the rain last night.
