20.01.2022 This is an update on the effects of the corona virus and our operation at Forest Miniatures. Apart from the shop front our mail order dept is FULLY OPERATING. Parcels are leaving here daily and whilst Australia post is indicating some delays the mail is still getting through. Many overseas large mail order firms in the UK are shutting down their postal despatch departments. This is not the case for us and neither will it be. We have a number of contingencies in place and are... closely monitoring overseas. Shipments from Germany we have suspended at this point for safety reasons. Shipments from the UK still remain open but conditions in the UK are being monitored daily. Despite the overseas situation our stocks are considerable We have started increasing listings on Ebay under the following link https://www.ebay.com.au/str/forestml Our aim is to now also start listing all kits and bits as well so you can shop at home. If you use shopping cart function you should be able to buy multiple items and wait for invoice total we can adjust the postage. These are difficult times and Forest Miniatures is fully set up to continue operation through this having been operating for 31 years. 08.01.2022 FAREWELL LEYLAND LYNX FROM THE FOREST MINIATURES HERITAGE BUS FLEET! It is with great sadness today that we officially handed over ownership to our Leyland Lynx to her new owner suffice to say she has found a good home not far from the Omnibus group at Junee. Here are the final photos as she was prepared for the road. Three buses have now left under their own power these being ParkRoyal Plymouth Atlantean No 30, Mk2 Mercedes 2496 and now our Leyland Lynx. It is hoped to continue to operate the remaining vintage bus fleet on a limited capacity. Keen bus spotters may spot the Lynx this weekend on the road!

07.01.2022 In a surprise move Bachmann Europe announce NEW EFE Rail range which is a partnership with Kernow Model centre and using some of the former DJs models tooling but improved tooling and specs. The range also includes the first ready to run EFE 1938 Tube stock London Transport trains. Previously only produced as bespoke motorisation kits for the EFE models.
