13.01.2022 PLANT THERAPY Are you one of those people who've been taking pleasure in growing more plants since the Covid-19 pandemic began? Business has never been bu...sier for Manny Apap who sells hardy ground covers, shrubs and grasses and has had a small family run nursery for more than 24 years. "When I was a child I started collecting succulents and when I grew up I decided I would grow plants for a living," Mr Apap smiled. "I really love it, our business is really a lifestyle business so we work from home on acreage, have our dogs and then we come to the market and meet all sorts of interesting people. "And it's very fulfilling when they tell you that the plants have grown and their gardens look great." Manny Apap has noticed a resurgence in demand for indoor plants that he sold back in the 1980's. Mr Apap's 10-year-old grandson Axle is proud to be serving customers and spending time with his pop. You'll find Forestbell Nursery's stand at Maroochydore's Fisherman's Road Market on Sundays and the Yandina Country Market on Saturdays. : ABC Rural reporter Jennifer Nichols
