24.01.2022 COLOUR RUN IS TOMORROW!! We are so excited and we hope the kids are looking forward to it as much as we are! There will be bunting around the event, which spectators can stand behind to watch the fun. The kids can do as many laps of the course as they like in their 30 minute time frame. If they’ve had enough before their session is up, there will be shade in the center of the oval. ... It is set to be a very hot day, please remember to pack sunscreen and a towel for your children. If you are wanting to take your child home after their run for years 3-6, please sign them out through the classroom teacher not the front office. If you chose to sign your child out early you must leave school grounds straight away. WHAT TO WEAR Students are to wear school uniform to school and change into their white shirts at lunchtime. I WANT COLOUR SPLASH = WHITE TOP NO COLOUR FOR ME = COLOURED TOP Children in school uniform will not be splashed with colour either, to avoid potentially damaging their shirts. So please be sure to have them wear a cheap white or coloured T-shirt depending on their preference if they want to take part. SUNGLASSES - Each child will get their own coloured sunnies FREE!! These will be given to teachers to hand out on Friday. This is an added precaution to avoid the powder getting in their eyes. We will do all in our power to keep powder away from their faces even though the powder is safe, this is just a precaution. We suggest wearing an old pair of shorts for the run. SPONSORSHIP DONATIONS Please have all cash sponsorship forms and payments into the office by 9am Tuesday 3rd November, so your accounts can be finalised in time. Online donations, including registering the cash you’ll be dropping at school need to be finalised by 7pm 2nd November. Online prize ordering will open up after 7pm on the 2nd November and you will have until 8th November to select and order your prizes, that will be delivered in Term 4. RUN TIMES Year 5-6 1:15pm- 1:45pm Years 3-4 1:50pm- 2:20pm Years PP/1/2 2:30-3pm Run times may be reduced depending on the weather at the time. Parents are welcome to come down and watch or join in the fun and help.

Thank you to everyone who took part, raised money, helped today and came out to watch this years Colour Explosion A HUGE Thank you to our fundraising co-ordinator Shay Rochester who is the driving force behind this event. ... Thanks to Holly and Ryan Jenkins, from @LastDropLandscaping for setting up the awesome sprinkler tents and helping all day. 23.01.2022 Wow, how is it possible tomorrow kicks off Week 8 of Term 4!? A reminder that this is a zero waste lunchbox week. This Friday 6 December is also Kids for Kids fundraising day. The Year 6s will be running games and activities for all other students to take part in. Please allow up to $10 in coins if your child would like to take part over the course of the day.

22.01.2022 CANTEEN ORDERS Our canteen orders are still open for tomorrow, Thursday 19 December. Unfortunately our online ordering platform provider has decided to close for training whilst schools are still open and trading, so have closed off services for our last day. We are very disappointed we didnt receive the single email notifying us of this closure so we couldve noticed people in advance. ... You can absolutely still order lunch from the canteen today, it will just have to be the manual way over the counter for today. We apologise for this inconvenience and have expressed our disappointment to Flexischools.

20.01.2022 Come along to our last P&C Meeting for 2019 tonight at 6.30pm in the staff room. We need to have at least 10 in attendance to vote on the new WACSSO constitution, so even if you can only attend for 5 minutes for the vote it would be greatly appreciated. You are then welcome to join us at Lakers for dinner (each person is responsible for their own bill). ... Please come along, give us any valuable feedback on this years events and help us pass the new constitution, so it can come into effect on 4 December. 20.01.2022 A special parade practising safe social distancing, so the amazing staff at our school can do something to brighten our community. So jump in your cars with your own household members only, drive the parade route entering Redheart Drive off Forest Crescent and then turn left on to Hickory Drive tomorrow between 2-2.30pm.

20.01.2022 Tomorrow is Harmony Day! Students may dress in National Costume or orange. The canteen will have orange cupcakes and orange jelly cups for $1.50 each at recess. Please note there will be more than Tuesday but still a limited amount so get in quick.

20.01.2022 CANTEEN & UNIFORM SHOP CLOSED Both canteen services and uniform shop are now closed for Term 1. Flexischools online ordering is also closed for Term 1. ... The P&C will reassess when these services will reopen, once we have a clearer picture of the COVID-19 situation at the start of next term. We appreciate your understanding.

18.01.2022 UNIFORM SHOP Until further notice all uniform orders will need to be placed either online through Flexischools or by completing the attached order form and placing it in the box in the office by 3pm each Wednesday, to ensure delivery to your childs classroom by the next Thursday.

18.01.2022 Its back and hoping to be bigger then ever! This year The School Colour Explosion Run will be held on Friday 30th October for students years Pre-primary- Year 6 and Wednesday 28th October for our Kindy kids, with times to be confirmed closer to the date.... This year we are fundraising for vital school projects, in particular replacing all of the basketball and netball goals throughout the school and putting air conditioning (big fans!) in the undercover area. We need your support to make this happen! This year we are moving to online sponsorship only. Each student can create a Student Profile Page at www.myprofilepage.com.au which is unique to you. There are also some great features like creating your own avatar, selecting your prize goal and recording your sponsorship. Students who raise as little as $10 or more will receive an incentive prize for their efforts. In the next few day each child will receive a letter with more information and a sponsorship booklet home. This event can not be possible without an army of volunteers, if you would like to assist our P&C in this event please send a PM our page for more information.

18.01.2022 Another successful Fathers Day Stall has been held. It is always wonderful to see the kids come through, agonising over the perfect gift for Dad. We do have a small selection of spare gifts available in the office for $6, which also allows those who had siblings double up on gifts a chance to do a swap. A huge thank you to our amazing fundraising co-ordinator Shay Rochester, who collected and counted all the orders. Having to collate over 600 gift orders is no small feat. ...The stall managed to raise over $1780 for the school. 16.01.2022 FATHERS DAY Tomorrow will be your last chance to get your Fathers Day Stall order AND your Fathers Day Lunch Order in to the P&C box in the office. Orders will be collected for processing after school on Monday. Orders will not be accepted after this time. Gifts are just $6 each and we have some awesome choices available! Children will be able to select their gift for Dad, stepdad, Grandad etc... from the stall on Wednesday 2nd September, but only if their order is received by tomorrow.

14.01.2022 CORONA VIRUS UPDATE We, like many have been hard hit by the impact of COVID-19. CANTEEN ... With Caladenia suspending canteen orders and our own school at below 50% attendance our canteen has been hit hard. We will continue to trade next week, but only whilst stocks last as we will not be ordering more this term. Daily specials next week will not be limited to just one day, but available to order on any day. Except for Sushi which will remain on Thursday only. Recess items will be available for pre-order as well. Flexischools will reflect these changes from tomorrow. We have also made the tough decision to close the canteen for all of Term 2, a decision that will be re-examined in July. It is with great appreciation and also sadness, that we have to say goodbye to our Canteen Assistant, Diane. We are so grateful to have had her work in our canteen for the past 15 months. But, can no longer afford to keep her on staff in these tough times. Our wonderful Canteen Manager, Michelle has worked so hard to try and offer exciting new items and theme days in the canteen. We have every confidence we will bounce back from this. FUNDRAISING It was a tough decision, but we will not be operating our Mothers Day Gift Stall or Breakfast this year. We may offer the gifts for sale at another event later in the year, but that has not been decided as yet. Our future events will be assessed as the months go on and we have a better picture of the climate at the time they are scheduled. This is a difficult time for many, many people whose work, home life and health have been impacted by the pandemic. But, our community is strong and Im sure with all of us in this together we will make it through to the other side with flying colours

08.01.2022 Tomorrow is our Fathers Day Lunch! Those attending can arrive to enjoy lunch from 1pm, followed by giant boardgames and access to sports equipment to enjoy a game with your kids from 1.20-2pm. Please spread out across the school and oval, to ensure safe social distancing is adhered to. Thank you to everyone who placed a lunch order and to our amazing Canteen Manager, Michelle Page for co-ordinating it all. It wouldnt be able to go ahead without our small army of voluntee...rs either. STUDENT SIGN OUT Last year there was a large number of students signed out at 2pm, causing gridlock at the main office. This year, should you wish to sign your child out early you must do so at each childs classroom.

We are so excited for this event next week, with Kindy having their run on Wednesday and the rest of the school on Friday. The support has been incredible and we are so grateful for all the sponsorship donations that have come in so far. There is just 10 days left to fundraise with all online closing 2nd November at 7pm! This year we are aiming for online only for sponsorships, if your child has received cash donations we kindly ask for you to process this online to their profile page. After the fundraising closes you will have till the until Monday 9th November to claim your prizes online via your profile page, so we can get them out to kids by the end of the term. Keep up the wonderful fundraising. Whilst the coloured powders used are safe, we understand some kids may have specific allergies or not want to be covered with the coloured powder. We are encouraging these students to wear brightly coloured tops, so our volunteers know they are not to receive colour on the run. They can still take part, running with their friends and doing the obstacles. Perhaps reusing their tops from their EduDance concerts, any colour at all is fine. If they’re not in white, they won’t get colour on them. Again we are still looking for more volunteers to assist both on Wednesday and Friday please get in contact with us if you are able to assist

07.01.2022 A mammoth thank you to volunteers Gail Kent, Kaylee Furlong, Michelle Gunter and Michelle Symes for running the uniform shop today, so people were able to stock up on essentials for the coming school year. The uniform shop will be open every Thursday from 8.30-9.45am. All online orders placed prior to 5pm on Wednesdays, will be delivered to your childs class the very next Thursday.

07.01.2022 CANTEEN NEWS Effective next Wednesday 17 June, the canteen will reopen for trade 3 days a week - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. This will be online orders only to limit cash and bag handling in light of the COVID climate. It is lunch orders only, with no recess or after lunch sales at this stage.... We anticipate to reopen to full service from the commencement of Term 3, which is subject to change once we assess how trade is for the remainder of this term. We greatly appreciate your support of our school canteen & hope youre excited to see it reopen next week.

06.01.2022 KINDY KIDS COLOUR EXPLOSION Kindy classes will have their colour runs tomorrow. A Group will run 10:45am- 11:15am and B Group from 2.30-3pm. ... It will be held in the Kindy Area. Please make sure your child comes in a white top if wanting to be splashed with colours and water or a bright top in any colour but white if they’d like to do the run, but not have colour/water on them. Each child will get their own pair of sunglasses to keep and also protect their eyes during the run. Kids in a school uniform top will not be splashed with colour, to avoid potentially damaging uniform shirts. Parents are welcome to come down and watch or help out spraying colour.

04.01.2022 Red Nose Day! All week we are celebrating Red Nose Day in the Canteen. There will be special items available at recess and lunch all week. Each day is a surprise, will it be red slushes, jelly cups, cupcakes or something else? Check in at the canteen everyday to see the daily special.

01.01.2022 Tonight is our end of year presentation night. Students will need to be at their classrooms by 5.45pm. They will remain in their teachers care during the presentation night and can be collected after the conclusion of the event from their classroom. Insect repellent and a jumper to put on later in the evening if needed, are a good idea. There is a roped off area families are welcome to sit behind to enjoy the night. Please only blankets or low concert chairs in front and la...rger camp chairs behind. Out of courtesy to others, please be mindful when attempting to film your child/rens performance, by not standing or blocking others views. Any recordings or photos taken are for your own personal use and if other children are in the shot, they are not to be shared on social media. This is an alcohol and smoke free event. 3C's Drive Thru coffee will be there this evening, with plenty of iced drink options on top of coffee given its going to be warm one today. Dont forget to have your Christmas raffle tickets in by 3pm today to be in the draw, as winners will be announced tonight!
