21.01.2022 It’s a wet and cold day. Winter is near.

21.01.2022 These trees, a Mountain Ash, a Weeping Elm and an Irish Strawberry are well over 150 years old. They are a strong symbol of longevity and resilience on this day of remembrance.

19.01.2022 Freshly picked pine mushrooms. They are plentiful this year. Yum.

17.01.2022 A beautiful frosty Sunday morning.

16.01.2022 Winter is such an opportunity to see the structure of trees. I love the moss and lichen on this very old weeping elm.

15.01.2022 I love seeing friends and neighbours enjoying the garden.

14.01.2022 Shady divas. Daphne Eternal Fragrance, Pieris Japonica and Cyclamen under the canopy of a large Irish Strawberry tree.

13.01.2022 Storm damage again. A large branch from the Mountain Ash came down with over 3 inches of rain last night. Minimal damage to the garden luckily. This is the 3rd big branch this season - an ornamental pear and an old willow.

12.01.2022 My weeding helpers as we get ready for OGV open garden on April 17-18. See details at opengardensvictoria.org.au

12.01.2022 What a beautiful autumn day. Perfect.

10.01.2022 I love using art and found objects to create points of interest in our garden.

06.01.2022 We took the plunge and planted our 18 year old Wollemi Pine in the ground close to its original position. It’s been thriving here in central Victoria so fingers crossed it loves its freedom. #Greg Cassidy #forestedge

05.01.2022 I have a particular interest in the prostrate form. They create a great layering element and a fantastic habitat and food source for wrens and finches. This hakea is a great example.

05.01.2022 The test of the Children’s Garden is is the play test. COVID delayed things, but I think it passed with flying colours.

04.01.2022 A Hakea in flower. Late winter in Central Victoria.

03.01.2022 One of the joys of going to country auctions are the rare and historic finds. We restored this 1866 cast iron park/station bench, which is similar vintage to the property.

03.01.2022 I’m so excited about being part of the Open Gardens Victoria program this year. Come and see the autumn colours on the weekend of April 17-18. You can book through the OGV website. Looking forward to seeing you in Blackwood, VIC.

03.01.2022 I love the spring display of rock roses.
