15.01.2022 The Forest Education Foundation(FEF) spent this week with Ridgely Primary for a Forest Discovery Experience - teaching students from K-6 all about forest system...s, the importance of forests and the ways that people interact with forest landscapes and resources. Students created a forest habitat with Forest in a Box. This is a Design and Make package resource that schools can loan from FEF. They also built a food web and explored the interconnections of a forest. These activities link closely with the 'Critical and Creative Thinking' and 'Personal and Social,' General capabilities of the Australian Curriculum.
