12.01.2022 Posted @withregram @winehq_yaroomba_beach G’day peeps, finally a couple of wet storm days have hit after a very dry winter/early spring. So naturally that means sneak in a red before the weather turns back to 90%+ relative humidity . I’ve gone again for the 2017 Forester Estate Cab Sav from the beautiful Margaret River wine region in West Australia. We drank this in winter so I was keen to try another bottle before it all turns cold beer, Spritzes and white wines for the... next 6 months (talk about a 1st world problem ). And the Forester doesn’t disappoint. I decanted it for 5 hours (mandatory for good Margaret River reds) and the tannins & acidity are slightly to the fore (it’s only 3 years old) but the fruit lingers at the end for a nicely balanced lengthy finish. As usual, some pics of our simple beach life, especially the sunny to storm events of today plus the obligatory surf dog photos (she’s had her first summer coat shave so was itching to get in the surf). Plus some more beautiful sub tropic flower action and a frilly neck lizard sunbaking as you do. So please, stay Covid safe always, and especially drink well, wisely & responsibly.
