21.01.2022 Yesterday was an inspirational day of hope here at Forest Farm as we planted 1500 trees with the help of some amazing friends and volunteers. Thank you @ozfishunlimited for facilitating @firewheelrainforestnursery for supplying the plants and Bush Regeneration Services. By the end of this week we estimate we will have planted approximately 8000 trees in just 2 years. If your feeling anxious and uncertain about the future of our planet, join your local landcare or volunteer at the next tree planting in your area. ..........

12.01.2022 As coronavirus restrictions ease, are you finding yourself looking back to what life was like before lockdown? And even wanting to be back at that time, to "normal"? And as you look to the future, is there trepidation with the possibility of virus breakouts, or 'second waves' and even the potential remaining for you and your loved ones to catch the virus? ... What if you place your focus on this moment now? Let go of the past and the future. Is this moment now a safer prospect? A more relaxed place to be. Feeling a little calmer even thinking about this moment? This is when we actually live - right now in this moment. That's our opportunity for actual peace, love, calm, kindness, happiness ... And it's mindfulness that keeps us in the present moment.

11.01.2022 Peaceful. That’s the word most used to describe how participants felt following a recent Forest Farm wander. And that’s how I felt too, in guiding the walk. Peaceful. ... Peaceful as I observed human beings connect so deeply with nature beings. There’s such a sense of peacefulness in seeing the healing effect of nature at work. Peaceful in myself as a result of participating in forest bathing activities. One of the delights of this work is that the guide gets to participate too. Feeling at peace with doing this precious work of reconnecting the human and nature worlds. A peacefulness that comes when you know you are doing something that makes a difference for both the planet and the human beings who inhabit it. And days later, that peacefulness remains with me, reminiscent of the Japanese research findings of the lingering positive post walk impact of Shinrin-yoku (the Japanese name for forest bathing). To feel at peace in a world in its current state is no mean feat, but peaceful is important, valuable, precious. Peaceful is magic. It feels sooooo good. Wishing you a peaceful day and a life full of peaceful moments.
