23.01.2022 "In 2007, following the success of ‘Dreamtime at the 'G matches in 2005 and 2006, the AFL nominated a specific Indigenous Round which in 2016, was renamed in ho...nour of Sir Doug Nicholls. The round celebrates the relationship between the game and Indigenous Australia by connecting AFL fans to Indigenous culture. The round also celebrates the incredible impact Indigenous players have made on our game. Sir Doug, who epitomised the spirit of reconciliation, played 54 games for Fitzroy and was a brilliant all-round athlete. The first Aboriginal person to be knighted, he also served as Governor of South Australia and was devoted to the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people." - Credit afl.com.au

11.01.2022 Richmond or Adelaide?

09.01.2022 Congratulations to Forest Hill College student athletes, Sela Latu & Tiana Johnson, who have been invited to train with the Oakleigh Chargers Football Club TAC ...Cup Girls pre-season squad. Both girls will have the opportunity to train with and test themselves against the best female footballers in the region and vie for a spot on the final list to compete in the 2018 TAC Cup Girls season. Luke O'Shannessy, who is the Head Coach of the Oakleigh Chargers TAC Girls squad and also the Forest Hill College AFLW Academy, was quoted It was a very easy decision to offer both Sela Blackburn Junior Football Club and Tiana Mitcham Junior Football Cluban invitation to the 2018 TAC Girls pre-season with the Chargers. Having worked with the girls for the entirety of the 2017 school year in the FHC AFLW Academy, I have seen first-hand the development they have shown on and off the field, and how they have exemplified the elite behaviours that underpin the entire sports and performing arts academy. This further justifies the work being done in the sports academies at FHC, and how student athletes can further their sporting careers as a result.
