25.01.2022 AND VACATION CARE IS A GO! We have had confirmation today that we are able to go ahead with Vacation Care for the April School Holidays. For a booking sheet, please email [email protected] or message you email address to the page and we will get one out to you! We will keep you updated here should anything change.
24.01.2022 Another appreciation post today - this time for the painting work being done in our new building. We need to thank Dulux and Inspirations Paint Wagga for the donation of a large portion of the paint and great service for the portion of paint we purchased and Don Elphick Painting and Decorating for donating his time to do all the painting work inside the new building. Its looking awesome. Don't forget to support these businesses and other businesses that have helped get our new building up and running.
23.01.2022 RECYCLED ITEMS REQUIRED As part of our new programming we are introducing a range of engineering challenges, logical thinking activities and other creative games and activities. To get these fully up and running we need some help with the donation of recycled materials. We are in need of: - Empty glad wrap/foil/paper towel rolls... - Empty tissue boxes - Old socks (yes, even those ones that lost their partner in the dryer) - Old panty hose/stockings - Shells of different shapes and textures. - Plastic leaves of different shapes off artificial plants and flowers Any donations would be greatly appreciated and will assist in giving the children a far more interesting and enriching program. We can even pick up items if required - just send an inbox and this can be organised. See more
22.01.2022 With further reductions in supervision at schools, for those who do still need to send their children to school due to working in essential services, OOSH will be open as usual for before and after school care. We also have availability for new bookings if others find themselves in the position of needing care due to working different hours or even a different job due to every thing that is going on. We are also open to casual bookings for children from other schools that may not have OOSH services available but need care. We are also looking at options for running full days sessions for those who are in essential services but their children's schools are closed. Please send us a message if you require any bookings.

21.01.2022 Hi Everyone On Friday 17th May 2019 we will be running a social evening for all current and prospective future families. There will be a free sausage sizzle for dinner and activities for the children. Staff will be on hand to run activities with the children after dinner while we then hold our Annual General Meeting. Further details will be going out via email this week in the newsletter, which will also be accompanied by the services Annual Report.... 19.01.2022 Hi Everyone Just letting current and prospective families know that as of the start of term 2 we will have a new opening time for Before School Care - we will be opening at 6am! Many families have reported that the 7am opening was problematic - and we've listened and addressed the issue.
19.01.2022 WHO WANTS A SNEAK PEAK OF OUR NEW BUILDING? Only a few weeks until it will be delivered and a few more after that until its fully functional and up and running! We will even having toilets within our own building!! Heaps of extra places for those who missed out on a place this year, new families coming to the school and even for those rotating shift workers!! Let us know if you would like to be put on the waiting list for when the new building opens.
19.01.2022 For any parents requiring care on Monday for the pupil free day - we will be open all day and still have vacancies. Staff will be available between 7 and 7.30 to take bookings if you require a place and have not yet booked in.

16.01.2022 ATTENTION CHANGE TO OPENING HOURS. Before School Care now opening 6.45am. Last term due to many families expressing a need for the service to open earlier, we changed our opening time to 6am. Due to NO families utilising this earlier opening time at all, we have changed the opening time to the later time of 6.45am as of the upcoming start of term 3.
16.01.2022 We are in need of newspapers for some activities we have planned at the center. If anyone is able to save their old newspapers for us it would be greatly appreciated. They can be dropped at the center or we can pick them up - just let us know. Thanks

Whether you need care while you work or the kids would just like to spend some times participating in some fun activities and outings with other kids - we have some great things planned and have places available! 12.01.2022 DON'T PANIC Vacation care is still running for the up coming holidays. We know the booking forms are late getting out, but we just had a few delays in ensuring we had everything covered. Program and booking sheets should be emailed out by tomorrow afternoon.

11.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Some committee members are currently at the centre getting the painting and other odd jobs done for the new building. If any parents are available to come and lend a hand even for a short time it would be greatly appreciated. (The exit gate is open and can be used for entry today).
10.01.2022 Its that time again - school holidays are fast approaching. Our vacation care program is out and bookings are now open. With our new increased capacity we now have room for children who normally attend OOSH, other children who attend Forest Hill Public and need just vacation care and now also children who attend other schools in town and need vacation care. So if your child goes to school in town but it would be easier for you for them to stay in Forest Hill for vacation care, send us an email to [email protected] and we can send you out the paperwork you will need. You can book a single day right through to every day - the choice is yours.

WE HAVE PLACES AVAILABLE IN OUR VACATION CARE PROGRAM THAT WE ARE OPENING UP TO FAMILIES WHO HAVE HAD TO EVACUATE DUE TO THE FIRES FOR FREE WE AIM TO PROVIDE THE CHILDREN WITH SOME FUN AND ENTERTAINMENT TO KEEP THEM OCCUPIED WHILE GIVING PARENTS A CHANCE TO ADDRESS THEIR CIRCUMSTANCES WITHOUT THE ADDITIONAL STRESS OF HAVING TO SUPERVISE THE CHILDREN... 08.01.2022 The staff and Committee of Forest Hill OOSH would like to thank these two awesome dads for donating their whole Saturday and use of their tools and equipment to carry out some overdue maintenance and repairs. We would like the parents who use the center to join us in thanking them - and as both run their own businesses, thinking of them when you need a tradesman is a great way of doing this. Don Elphick Painting and Decorating and Stormy's Home Maintenance (& they make a great team). Keep an eye out in the next newsletter as we have a few more jobs that need doing and some more volunteers to help would be great.
08.01.2022 COVID19 UPDATE With todays announcement that schools will remain open, we are advising all families that Forest Hill OOSH will also remain open. We will be operating before and after school care as per usual for the remainder of the term and vacation care for the school holiday period. Our Vacation care excursions will need to be cancelled, but alternative activities will be planned and provided on these days.... If you choose to keep your child home from school and OOSH, can you please advise the center so that staff are aware of their absence and are not chasing up their whereabouts unnecessarily. 08.01.2022 URGENTLY REQUIRED Due to higher than expected vacation care bookings we are in need of extra tin cans for an activity we have programmed. They can be dog food cans, soup cans etc - don't have to all be the same size. Doesn't matter if they are not washed or even pulled from your bin - i will be fully washing and sterilizing them before use. I am alao happy to pick up.... Required for Tuesday. See more

06.01.2022 Hi Everyone We are excited to announce that we joining forces with Pe4k Child Care Forest Hill on a temporary project. We have just finalised arrangements for Pe4k to provide Before and After School care to those on our waiting list who wish to take advantage of the opportunity until we are able to offer them places here at our service.... All those currently on our waiting list should have now received an email with the details of this option. If you did not receive an email or are not on our waiting list because you heard how long it was, but would like to consider this option, please email us at [email protected] and we will send you more information and the required forms.

04.01.2022 Before we give everyone who wasn't here for the opening a look at the inside of the new building, we have one more appreciation post. This time to Lahn Shepherd Building and construction. Lahn did the final, all important step of building the walkway between the old building and the new - and many other little jobs that were requested of him on the spot and nothing was too hard or too much trouble for him to help out with. All his work was of high quality and looks fantastic. Can't wait to see the outcome of the next project he is working on with us - the kitchen renovation!

02.01.2022 Its that time of term again! Only 2 weeks until School Holidays start! We now have our vacation care program all set ready to go and are open for bookings! Existing families will have been emailed a booking form and copy of the program - anyone else interested please message us and we can organise to email a copy to you too! Remember - children don't have to attend Forest Hill Public School to attend our vacation care - we are open to any school aged child. Parents don't have to be working for children to attend either - they are welcome to come along just to socialize and have fun with other children.
01.01.2022 Urgent! Don’t scroll on by!! Do you have a few hours to spare? Are you interested in getting involved with your community? Do you have kids attending Forest Hill OOSH either before/after school or during the holidays? We are seeking two executive positions as well as General Members. Our executive members will need two to three hours a week and general members one to two per fortnight. Many hands make light work. There’s been lots happening in our centre and to continue to gi...ve the best service to the community we need some help. We are looking for: - Treasurer - Secretary The centre has faced some challenges over the past few years and we’d love some new faces to help us keep moving forward and continue to provide great care for our kids. 01.01.2022 Hi Everyone Now that school has returned to normal attendance, we just wanted to let everyone know that due to having the bigger center now we have VACANCY for before and after school care on every day of the week. We can cater for permanent or casual bookings or even rotating rosters. We particularly want to reach out to anyone who has been impact by the current situation with Wagga Family Day Care.
