They call it (not) parkrun. Your run/walk gets added to the tally for Forest Lake. It’s not quite the same as catching up with you all, but small steps

10.01.2022 Forest Lake Event Parkrun number 127 - 24th April 2021 What a beautiful, crisp April morning and a huge welcome to all of our first timers and regular parkrunners. Big congrats to our two milestones today - a 50 and a 100 respectively ... The event was made possible by 13 volunteers - THANKYOU to: Jo BOTTRELL, William DARLOW, Carole ELLIOTT, Katrina HINGST, Olivia HINGST, Kurt KING, Keith MEEN, Kate OSMOND, Liana SIGAR, Claire THURSTON, Han TRINH, Samantha WEMM, Shirley WIENAND Catch you all next weekend !

Event number 112 2nd January 2021 This week 212 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 46 were first timers and 18 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 12 different clubs took part. The male record is held by Aidan HOBBS who recorded a time of 15:59 on 13th October 2018 (event number 31). The female record is held by Jane HOSKIN who recorded a time of 19:50 on 15th February 2020 (event number 102). The Age Grade course record is held by Conor MATHEWSON who recorded 83.63% (21:17) on 1st January 2019 (event number 43). Forest Lake parkrun started on 17th March 2018. Since then 3,219 participants have completed 14,302 parkruns covering a total distance of 71,510 km, including 2,477 new Personal Bests. A total of 299 individuals have volunteered 1,401 times.

Contact tracing QR codes for Queensland events As part of our requirement to reopen parkrun in Queensland, each event will be required to display a unique QR code for contact tracing purposes. We encourage all participants, volunteers and spectators to scan the code and sign in each week. ... This will also be displayed on the morning around the shelter.

01.01.2022 Good news.... Following extensive discussions with the Queensland Department of Sport and Recreation, we have approval to reopen all 107 parkrun and junior parkrun events in Queensland on 28 November.
