I feel like I’ve blinked and the year has gone My 3rd daughter starts school next year, my oldest has her last year on primary school next year and my baby is off to pre-school ... As tough as this year has been I kind of want to hold on to it a little longer Make sure you’re prepared for Christmas this year - order early!!

05.01.2022 Why I do what I do!! To make kids happy Background to me I’ve got an Honours Degree in Natural Resource Management. My first job out of university saw me planting trees, counting frogs and working with farmers in the Riverland in South Australia. I then moved to Sydney and worked for Bondi council developing programs and policies to help make Bondi beach cleaner and greener. ... I realised quickly that I wasn’t loving what I was doing in my government role so I made a career jump and got a job in major company that sells office products as an administrator to their Project Management team. I loved the role and quickly moved up through the company to become their Head of Corporate Compliance which I held for quite a few years before leaving when I had my fourth baby. I started Forever Dolls, originally called Little Mummies, whilst I was working my corporate job as I wanted a creative outlet and the writing was on the wall that I wouldn’t be able to maintain the pace of corporate life with an ever growing family. We’ve been in business for FIVE years now, it’s gone so fast! I’ve wanted to give up sooooo many times, it’s definitely not easy being a small business owner. But every time I’ve been close to letting go I get a picture of a happy kid with one of my creations and it makes it all worth it. Em xx
