18.01.2022 Is this normal? No! Was this done by me? Definitely not! Electrolysis is only as good as your electrologist. This is one of the most important things you should consider when getting electrolysis. Ask your electrologist: Are you specifically qualified in electrolysis? This photo was shared with me by a new client* recently. She had been having electrolysis at a beauty salon near her and took this photo of her face after her last treatment there. While I'm sure ther...e was no ill intent on the part of the person who did this work, it shows an appalling lack of training. Electrolysis 101: If the probe is not in the hair follicle then it does. not. work. This photo looks as though the therapist did little more than punch the probe into the skin, then burn it. It was very painful for the client and unfortunately left her with these highly visible marks. The other clue that the electrolysis was being performed incorrectly was that she had been getting it done "for years". A complete result with electrolysis should take no more than 12 months in the worst of cases. If you've been having electrolysis for longer than that, it's being done wrong. Simple as that. While I can't do anything about this client's scars, I can now completely fix the hair concern. She left my clinic after her first session with little more than a blush on her skin and no sign of injury. Which is exactly how it should be. Do you want your electrolysis done right?
