10.01.2022 Tip, do not walk your dogs on the footpath on very hot days. They can severely burn their pads. If you can’t walk barefoot on the footpath nor can your dog. Walk them very early in the morning or later in the evening.

10.01.2022 It’s a topic many feel strongly about - should you, or should you not, shave your dog’s coat during Summer? You’ve likely heard that a dog’s coat acts as insula...tion, which means it can keep them cool as well as warm. While it is true that a dog’s coat helps protect them from the cold, their coat will not protect them from the blistering temperatures and oppressive humidity experienced in an Australia Summer. In fact, many dogs (including long-coated breeds) seem to show relief after being shaved. The few studies on the topic have shown that the shorn parts on a dog’s body are much cooler than unshaved regions. So, if your dog is struggling with the Summer heat, don’t stress about shaving them to keep them cool! See more
