18.01.2022 This beauty here is what true warriors are made of. At only 25 years of age she was faced with a massive battle someone so young shouldn't even be thinking about - A Breast Cancer Diagnosis! Her gorgeous sister in law contacted me about a Forevermore Session after she recovered, explaining she had been through, having her eggs frozen, been put into a chemical menopause, a grooling chemo routine and in 3 days time is going into hospital for major surgery. Having a inkling what... might be coming for her I offered to fit her in for a quick session before surgery, plus a family or friends update once she recovers. Jadie was over the moon excited she had wanted to conduct a session to remember her breasts, remember this moment of time with no hair and take back her power from this horrid beast cancer. But she had thought it might be weird to ask for (what we called) a Booby Love Session. In her own words from a recent post on her instagram "Cancer can take from me what we physically define as beauty, but it can never take away my strength or spirit! I have never felt more alive, more beautiful or empowered. Don't be afraid to ask Belle or anyone for that matter for something that is important to you and your journey." "My session with Belle helped me remember who I was before my life changed forever, it reminded me that I am beautiful, I am strong and I am damn proud of how far I’ve come. It reminded me about the mundane beauty in life (ahh sunsets) we all take for granted sometimes, it made me cherish my relationships old and new and helped me shed the old Jadie and embrace the new one! What a liberating feeling that was." 18.01.2022 ~ Welcome to the new people visiting our foundation ~ This is a little post to introduce myself properly! I'm Belle and Forevermore Foundation Inc is the not for profit arm of my main business Belle Chapman Photography. Here at Forevermore Inc we provide a certain amount of free family sessions per month to families facing a cancer diagnosis. If this allocation is not used up in the month we then gladly assist people at other stages of their battle or battling other demons. I... donate all my time for free conducting these session, liaising, 1.5 hours shooting, many hours culling, editing and prepping download galleries. In order to deliver these services free we have to raise money to ensure we can continue to help people. It costs a fair bit to run a business, to travel around delivering a free service, marketing, let alone daily running costs (studio rent, electricity, internet water ect). This is where our paid sessions come in. The general public can book photography session through Forevermore and all the funds go directly back into the cost of running the foundation and giving people free sessions in their darkest days. I totally understand that in the chaos of a diagnosis photos might be the the last thing on your mind but I just want people to know its here and if my service is not for you that is totally ok. If I didn't put this out into the world you might not even consider needing photos before treatment takes its toll on your loved one. I have taken away the Burdon of cost when you have more important things to pay for and probably a lower income. All I ask in return for these free sessions is to spread my name out there tell your friends about our free service if they need it and/or tell everyone else about our standard photography services. 09.01.2022 Did you know September is "Childhood Cancer Awareness Month?" Every year in Australia around 750 children between the ages of 0-14 are diagnosed with a form of childhood cancer. While leukemia makes up about 33% of all cases, other forms include tumors of the central nervous system (mainly on the brain) that accounted for roughly 25% of all diagnosis's, then lymphomas accounting for a further 10%. The most common age group making up almost half of the cases is children between ages 0-4. These statistics are harrowing to think so many families each year have to hear the news that their child is sick. So this month we ask that you show your support for childhood cancer families by going gold! We thank all of our amazing Forevermore followers for their ongoing support!
