23.01.2022 This coming Sunday 26th June we will be trialling a stall at the Rockingham markets. Open 7am-12pm. Note our new range of 3D framed pieces. Prices of photos below - Heart $55, Bilby $85. We will also have a display of our 3D pieces prices ranging from $55-$395. Drop by and watch Mahiya carving.

20.01.2022 Also starting to do pieces with local shells. If you have some special shells you have collected you could consider getting them embedded into stone.

18.01.2022 Ever seen a stone carver in action ( in fact the only carver in Australia carving beautiful white NZ limestone ) or interested in chatting to Mahiya about your own design? We will be demonstrating and selling at two markets this month. Pop the dates in your calendar. Saturday 11th July on the lawn outside the Australind Artisans Collective beside the Australind Shopping Centre and Saturday 18th July in Donnybrook. 9am - 1pm. With over 70 designs and more continually being designed. We will be moving in 6 weeks so keep a lookout here for our new studio address. Prices range from $39. Just a reminder we do have a small selection for sale at the Australind Artisans Collective open 10am-4pm Monday-Saturday.

17.01.2022 Good morning. We will be at the Bunbury market this Saturday on Cobblestone Drive. Weather forecast lovely. 8am-1pm.

16.01.2022 Did you know when you increase something by 50% in size it increases 3.5 times in volume as seen below. 20kg baby became 75kg mama. Large one completely hand carved. Thank goodness for my hydraulic lift table. Phew.

07.01.2022 Do you have a loved family member or pet you would like to have a memorial of in your garden or home? A beautiful black engraved plaque embedded into delicately hand carved white limestone may be your answer. The headstone will usually also have an inlay(s) of paua or mother of pearl ( included in the price. ) Prices range from $125. Large ones 50cm high $320- includes price and installation of the plaque. We live in Myalup but visit Perth twice a month so can meet up to chat. Note - I have blacked out names etc. on plaques unless I have permission to use them. Note : Ashes can be embedded in the base.

03.01.2022 Hi everyone. Sorry I havent posted for awhile as I have been busy preparing for Xmas. I have a new range of smaller pieces starting from $35. I will be open on the following Saturdays in November 10am-midday at my studio at 3 Mayor Rd, Coogee. 16th Nov. 23rd Nov. 30th Nov. I have some items which I will no longer be selling available at a reduced price. 7th December all day we will be at the Handmakers Market at Yagan Square with a limited selection. Sunday 15th December ...we will be at the Heathcote Handmakers Market. Feel free to call me if you would like to drop by at another time. I am still available for commission pieces. 02.01.2022 This piece has been selected for the Rockingham Art Awards 2019.Theme SPACE. Titled Dolphin suspended in Space. My FIRST piece ever on public display. The exhibition is on at the Rockingham Art Centre and the Gary Holland community Centre on Kent St in Rockingham. They have an award called Peoples Choice. Would love if I could get some votes. Open 10am-3pm. 4th -19th May. Guided tours 6pm-7pm.
