25.01.2022 The best book on stress and it’s affect on the body & mind I have read! Relatable, straight forward & beautifully explained! Yes it is a meditation book with a very simple & realistic method I believe everyone could do but what I loved was the authors understanding of how ‘we all’ think about meditation and why it truly is ‘life changing’ for anyone wanting to live an optimal life!

A true inspiration & what he told me about the devastatingly harmful affects on the land & your health of pesticides, most notably glyphosate found in Round-Up, would make you never use chemicals again! A huge reminder from a real ‘boots on the ground’ farmer showing that we must learn to use natural products, practices & methods for a healthy future!

09.01.2022 FLEXIBILITY AT 80yrs OLD!!! Never too old to start stretching! Lack of mobility is the most common complaint of aging... but it doesn’t have to be! My dad has been active his whole life as a farmer, shearer & ‘handy’ sportsmen but NEVER has he bothered with stretching! ... Well turning 80yrs old this year he has decided its time to start! Here he is demonstrating 3 of my favorite ‘park bench’ stretches he does after his walk. 1) Bum (glutes) stretch 2) Hamstring stretch 3) Hip flexor & quad stretch The bench works great because you can use natural gravity, your arms to help & most importantly you can can stay in the stretches comfortably... ideally over 1 min each! 05.01.2022 Eat WILD SALMON! Not all salmon is created equal! Yes it is a wonderful source of omega 3 & quality protein but beware farmed salmon! Wild salmon is king! Farmed salmon are not only less nutrient dense but are probable sources of chemicals & inflammatory agents because the fish are fed processed food, antibiotics and other non natural products to make them grow faster & fatter! Avoid farmed salmon if you possibly can. Buying frozen or canned wild salmon can often be your best option!

04.01.2022 Does wearing sunglasses ALL THE TIME hurt your eyes? In short ... it depends! On one hand many optometrists will tell you to wear sunglasses when out in sun to protect your eyes from ‘harmful’ UV light and on the other there is good science to show your eyes have good built in protection properties to protect themselves and blocking the light with sunglasses affects your health and disrupts circadian rhythm! There is NO DOUBT in my research that getting the ear...ly morning light in your eyes & on your skin (light receptors there too) is one of the best ways to improve sleep and live an optimal life! So the routine I recommend is: No sunglasses before 10am Good quality sunglasses between 10am-4pm only if needed No sunglasses after 4-5pm to allow secretion of melatonin and wind down for sleep!
