25.01.2022 Over the past few months I've felt it...I've felt that anxiety creeping up, that breathless feeling of an elephant sitting on my chest, that feeling of stress and worry encompassing my body without warning. It doesn't care what time of day it is or what you're doing it just hits you when you least expect it!! Today I want to share some tips of what I do to help me when I feel that panic building, in the hopes that it will help even one person out there feeling this too. GRO...UND YOURSELF Place both feet flat on the ground (preferably outside in the grass) and picture roots like a tree coming out of your feet and connecting into the centre of the earth PLACE YOUR HAND OVER YOUR HEART Think of a moment or a memory, your kids laughing, a favorite holiday, laying on the beach in the sun or in the arms of a loved one. Feel your heart filling with love for that moment/memory and continue to replay it over in your mind. BREATHE Concentrate on your breathing, nice deep breaths in through your nose and out through the mouth. Remind yourself that YOU are in control. Battles with ourselves in our minds are tough but don't let them break you. I have been using the spare time during lockdown (which some days is minimal with a 9 year old home learning and 3 year old twins always on the go ) to jump into a course and really open myself up to the wonderful world of Tarot!!
