22.01.2022 We had a fabulous time today at Forget Me Nots with lots of people all happy to be together. Word has spread that we are meeting again, so lots of smiles and happy chat. We had lots of entertainment today from different Instrumental ensembles, as well as some beautiful vocal work from Joy and Alice. Many thanks to everyone who volunteered their time and talent to perform for us. It was very much appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed. Our plan for the rest of 2020 is to meet in 2 weeks time - 10th November - and then weekly until Christmas. We may even be able to start sanitized singing, if all goes well. Fingers Crossed. See you all in 2 weeks, until then . sing like no one is listening and Rock On !!!!!

21.01.2022 Forget Me Nots are meeting tomorrow for a chat and a great Morning Tea. Come and join us and bring a friend. We can't sing together because of COVID but we can enjoy each other's company and listen to some fabulous performances from local artists. Roger has very kindly agreed to play his violin for us and Kim Connor is going to show how clever she is, playing guitar and singing at the same time. We also have another very talented young person presenting some items. I'll sav...e that as a surprise, but it will be fabulous. The flautists and saxophonists are having a rest this week, but we will be back next week, bigger and brighter than ever. We are taking all COVID safe precautions, so come and join us. See you there - Clarence Valley Conservatorium at 10. See more

21.01.2022 Good Morning Forget Me Not Enthusiasts. Everything is looking good for our Morning Tea together at the Clarence Valley Conservatorium next Tuesday 13th October at 10. We have some entertainment organised along with some recorded performances that have been happening throughout the year, from various ensembles within the Conservatorium. Sadly we can't sing together, but we will still have a great time meeting up with people we haven't been able to see because of COVID 19. ...Please be confident that we will be following all the necessary rules to keep us COVID safe, and if you are feeling unwell, leave your visit until the next get together , which is planned for the 27th October. We've got some lovely surprises for you next week, so come and join us! Looking forward to seeing lots of lovely smiling faces. Until then .... Rock On!!! See more

21.01.2022 A little snippet of Alice performing on Tuesday. Such a beautiful voice.

18.01.2022 Forget Me Nots had a great morning with lots of enjoyable music, smiling faces and delicious morning tea. It doesn't get much better! We were lucky enough to have Adam and Dan displaying their skills on their instruments. Adam on Marimba and Dan on Harp. Everyone was enthralled by both instruments and to hear and see them being played so skillfully was a treat. Joy sang 2 Seekers songs and these were both received with enthusiasm. The Seekers are very popular with Forget Me N...ots, so a great choice Joy. Flutes and Saxophones were also represented, with some great playing from Helen, Bree and Kris. There may have even been a little Christmas Carol to start the Season off in the proper spirit. Many thanks to everyone for entertaining us this morning. We will be meeting again next Tuesday at 10. I'm not sure if we will be able to sing together, but I've already asked Roger to play his violin for us so that will be fun. See you all next week. Until then... Rock On!!! See more

18.01.2022 This week Forget Me Nots was full of surprises, with some wonderful performances from an interesting range of instruments. Sebastian started us off with some entertaining Saxophone solos, followed by Bree and I with Christmas spirit on Flutes. Jackson and Adam presented an amazing performance on Saxophone and Marimba and then, to finish off the morning, Adam gave us a display on the newest instrument at the CVC - a Vibraphone. Everyone was very impressed and thoroughly enjoye...d the experience of listening to such a sonorous and beautiful instrument. Many thanks to all of our generous performers. I have only to ask and people are happy to join us and share their talents with us. We were also excited to see that we had a visit from "The KIng", who was in the house for some of the performances. We are never sure who is going to drop in for a chat and morning tea. It was a treat to see him sitting with his adoring fans, quietly enjoying the entertainment. He left as silently as he came. Come and join us next Tuesday for another selection of local talent. Clarence Valley Conservatorium at 10. See you there. Until then .. Rock On !!! See more

15.01.2022 Hi Forget Me Not Followers. After our enjoyable get together last week, there are preparations and rehearsals happening for next Tuesday's Morning Tea. We had such a lovely time seeing old friends and sharing our love of music, that this will be our main activity until we can sing again. If you would like to join us, come to the Clarence Valley Conservatorium at 10am next Tuesday. Social distancing and all COVID rules are in place. It will cost you a smile and enjoyment is... guaranteed. See you next week. Until then... Rock On !!! See more

14.01.2022 Hi Forget Me Not enthusiasts! See you all tomorrow - Tuesday 27th - at the Clarence Valley Conservatorium for a fabulous Morning Tea and some amazing performances from local artists. We might even have a guest artist (the picture might be a hint) Don't miss it. See you there at 10.

13.01.2022 Helen, Bree and Jenny (accompanied by Adam on piano) provided some wonderful entertainment on Tuesday.

10.01.2022 Forget Me Nots had a real treat this morning with some wonderful people performing for them. Kim Connor, fresh from recording her CD, sang several songs and everyone enjoyed every moment. Thanks Kim, it was sooo good. Eden and Caitlin Annesley played 2 violin and viola duets and the audience was in awe of the skill that these lovely ladies displayed. It was fabulous. We were treated to a recording of the Beach Choir from Wooli and again everyone was impressed by the singing... and the editing skills. Congrats Brenda and choir. Our final performer for today was Roger, who gave us a little of his life history and interspersed his chat with some tunes on the violin. It was entertaining and heartfelt and enjoyed by all. Morning Tea was a triumph and everyone had a relaxed and entertaining morning. Next Tuesday we will meet again for more great performances. It will be fun. Come and Join us next week for a chat, a laugh and lots of friendship. See more

08.01.2022 Today was a big day - our first get together since March. It was small in numbers but big on enthusiasm. We had a lovely time exchanging stories and catching up after such a long break. We had live performances from a Flute Trio - many thanks to Bree and Helen for joining in. Joy sang Danny Boy beautifully - I'm sure there was not a dry eye in the house, and Kris played the sax and I tagged along. Added to this was a selection of recorded performances from throughout the ye...ar from a wide range of instrumental ensembles, as well as a performance from Brenda's Beach Choir from Wooli, again recorded individually and then edited. Ken was the star, not only did he sing but he was dancing as well. We had a delicious Morning Tea, all carefully and safely prepared with COVID safety rules uppermost in our minds. Our plan is to meet every 2 weeks, so our next Forget Me Nots Morning Tea will be the 27th October, 10 am at Clarence Valley Conservatorium. We won't be singing but we already have some items organised for performances. Come and join us then, it is guaranteed to lift your spirits. See more

05.01.2022 A big reminder that Forget Me Nots are meeting tomorrow for Morning Tea and a chat. Sadly, no group singing yet, but we will have some amazing performances for you. Lots of different instruments and performers. After singing for us so beautifully at our last Morning Tea, Alice was asked to select another song for this week, but a small early addition to the family has interrupted those plans. Congratulations to Alice and her lovely family on the safe arrival of Reuben, who was born last Thursday. We are COVID safe and making sure that we remain that way with Social Distancing and lots of Hand Sanitizing. Come and join us tomorrow for a cuppa, a chat and lots of relaxing music. See you at 10 at Clarence Valley Conservatorium.

02.01.2022 Thank you to our many performers who made out Tuesday get together so enjoyable. See you on the 10th!

01.01.2022 Well what a day! We were treated to an incredible performance by Laura Hennessy, accompanied by Greg Schubert on piano and guitar. With songs ranging from Dolly Parton to The Beatles, her singing certainly brought smiles to the faces of us all. Thanks so much Laura. Once again, the very talented Adam treated us to a wonderful performance on marimba. Today’s piece was mesmerising. Following this, we were entertained by Cherry and Vicki who played two lovely pieces on violin. ... It was a fabulous morning of entertainment so thank you to Laura, Greg, Adam, Cherry and Vicki. We were thrilled to see Megan and Rose after a long break due to COVID restrictions. Once Rose ‘warmed up’ she managed to be the centre of attention, especially for David who spend much of the morning playing Peep Poh and Chasies with her. It was also great to see Brian again after being away for a few weeks. Hopefully he’ll be back next week. With Christmas drawing near, next week will see some carols as part of our entertainment so we’re all looking forward to that very much. Have a great week everyone and bring on next Tuesday! Rock on!
