14.01.2022 Spending all day sitting at a desk is a shortcut to all kinds of health issues. The symptoms of slouching are commonly felt in your lower back, but pain will also work its way up into your shoulders if you don’t fix that poor posture. The band pull-apart is an excellent way to do just that and warm up your shoulders prior to exercise. 1 Plant both feet on the floor slightly further than shoulder-width apart. Hold one hand on each end of the recovery band with an o...verhand grip (palms facing down) and extend your arms directly in front of your chest, ensuring that your elbows are completely locked. This is your starting position. 2 Inhale. Exhale. Using the muscles in your shoulders and back, pull the recovery band ends outwards and backwards until your arms are in line with your shoulders. You should feel a small squeeze between your shoulder blades. 3 Inhale. Hold this position briefly before gently drawing the ends of the recovery band together to return to the starting position. Repeat for the specified number of repetitions. We'd suggest 15-20 reps. See more

08.01.2022 The medicine ball rotational throw is an explosive exercise targeting the abdominals, including the obliques, as well as the hips and upper back. It involves standing sideways to a wall or a partner and twisting the torso to hurl a medicine ball into the tarvet, then catching the ball on the ricochet or when it is thrown back. It can be performed for lower reps with a focus on power, or for higher reps with a focus on fat loss and conditioning.
