09.01.2022 One week to go. With the good news about reopening here in Melbourne, it is important to start looking towards helping our dogs understand that being on their own isn’t a punishment. Join us online for some tips and tricks on how to start the transition.

08.01.2022 It's been a week! We welcomed a record number of greyhounds and they all arrived in very poor condition. We have: 1) A 6 month old puppy with a broken leg tha...t needs to be amputated because he did not receive medical attention when he broke it. 2) A failed 3 year old racer with significant alopecia, a broken tail with 1cm exposed dead bone, very underweight and a history of chewing the wire cage with his teeth to cope with stress 3) A 5 year old greyhound x fleeing domestic violence 4) 2 year old brother and sister duo who were sold online in a very neglected and underweight state We are looking at significant vet bills to heal the wounds but also need the help of behaviourists and trainers to heal the internal damage that has been done to these gorgeous greyhounds. Thanks to our amazing foster families and volunteers who work nonstop to help a greyhound in need, life is worth living for these dogs from now on. The thing that makes us most angry about these recently surrendered dogs is that the people who gave them to us did not give a shit. 'Don't waste your money on the vet' and 'he is not skin and bone, that is his racing weight' were some of the comments. If you would like to help us with the cost of the rehabilitation of these dogs, please make a donation to: Amazing Greys Greyhound Rescue Vic BSB: 063 123 Account No: 1054 6108 Commonwealth Bank: Or via PayPal to [email protected] Thank You :)
