24.01.2022 And now for something completely different.... Weve been enjoying clay play time here at Formstars, and weve been making our own limited edition concrete sculptures! Here is the very first design we have decided to only make 50 of each design and they are numbered on the back of each one so you know you wont find these anywhere else but here These ones are washed with a little colour but we also have just the plain white so you can always have a choice. All o...f them have been coated with sealer keeping them nice and comfy. The green man is a well known symbol all over the world of growth, rebirth and renewal,dating back a freakishly long time. So perfect for this beautiful spring weather right now. These hanging green men garden sculptures measure about 350mm diameter and we will be selling them for $90 each. 20.01.2022 Well helloooo 2019!! And what a year it has already been :) Here at Formstars we have been mighty creative and we are keen as Donald Trump on combover day to show you our marvellously excellent new range of WONDERFUL KNOBS!!!! That's right, because here at Formstars we love our knobs And we think you will love them too. These little blobs of concrete goodness are hand designed, crafted and painted by us in our little backyard, and not only are they... practical and mighty quirky, we can post them too!! Yaaayyy!! These are just three of our designs but we have heaps of new creation knobs ready to find a home on chests of drawers, cupboard doors, something else that rhymes with floors...or anywhere else you would like to put them! :) They measure 52mm in diameter, the maximum screw length within the ball is 42mm so they should fit any normal width of drawer. They come either painted and sealed or just plain sealed for that industrial chic-ish look. 16.01.2022 Happy happy Tuesday lovely peeps! We've been making these panels for a couple of years now, and some of you have seen them and thought "Hmmm, kinda groovy but what is it?" So we thought we'd give you a little background. The idea came about from a pretty cool light bulb moment right here in our backyard, and we haven't seen anything created like it since. We've crossed that line of so much cheap, mass manufactured overseas concrete items available and jumped into creati...ve designs that are each made individually by hand and take many many hours of work and care. We use Schneppa Recycled glass and glow stones that get delivered all the way from Victoria for our panels and each one is sealed and steel reinforced within. These are not painted panels, it's an exposed aggregate technique that allows them to be functional as well as arty, so you can use them in rendered walls, driveways, outdoor patios, lawn areas and shed floors. Like you would with any concrete slab but these have personality. And there's usually at least two swear words carefully inserted free of charge in every one. :) It is hard to put a price on how much time it takes but that's art and there are so many artisans and creators out there putting their heart and soul into what they love every day because it's what they love to do and it's the love in the joy of creating that you can't ever put a price on because it's worth so much.
