Day winners will now sport these "jolly wrencher" stickers, one for each day they win. Highly visible from the air, competitors will now know which sharks they have to outrun to win the day.

20.01.2022 SPONSOR ALERT!! We’re once again honoured to have the support of Lumpy and Sharon from the Tocumwal Soaring Centre. They’ve been with us as sponsors since day one. As with previous years, the common last turnpoint used every day will be known by all as Lumpy’s Loop. On top of this, this year we have the ability to move the centre of the start line to somewhere other than the airfield. As a result, introducing LUMPY’S LINE & SHARON’S START... With multiple groups performing GP starts at different times, this will allow us to move the start line slightly away from the pre-start milling sailplanes and allow the tugs to drop gliders where the climbs are Thanks Lumpy & Sharon!! https://tocumwalsoaring.com/

20.01.2022 Launch of LiveGliding.com Since we started our little gliding competition 3 years ago a heap of bespoke contest management, scoring & tracking software has been written by our members, as well as the custom SkyMate tracker. Originally development of the above was designed around the Formula 1.0 GP only, so the software was integrated with our web site, and was hardcoded to conform with our rules. Since then, our systems have become popular with State Competitions, and hosting... of systems on f1gp.com.au has felt a bit inappropriate. Also, there have been constant requests from State Competition organisers for the ability to do various things that the software wasn't capable of doing. We believe this has now been rectified. Announcing... LiveGliding.com New features include : - Ability to choose any waypoint as the Start or Finish point (start and finish points need not be same waypoint) each day - Choose from finish line or circle of any radius, can be set daily. - Simple task setting interface (just click on the map) - SkySight weather overlays during task setting (thanks Matt) - Automatically generated .CUB task file including all set tasks - Automatically generated radio start script - Ability to set minimum finish height each day - Handicap adjustments for weight & performance enhancing modifications (ie. winglets) Existing Features : - Automatic calculation of variable turnpoint sizes for handicapping based on handicaps of entrant gliders & task. - Live Tracking (when used with SkyMate) - Realtime live scoring (when used with SkyMate) - Scoring via IGC file upload - Ability to change point scoring format (winner's score, bonus point(s) for winning day) Possible Future Features : - Conventional 1000 point scoring - Facility for conventional Non-GP starting - Generation of IGC files from live tracking data Interested in using our software? Drop us a line.

19.01.2022 Well done to Christian Streifeneder, winner of the final day! Not the most straight forward of days, many pilots battled a long into-wind leg and very broken thermals - but Christian got high, stayed high, and smoked the field! Well done on your first day win!
