23.01.2022 If you could write a book about your life, what would you say? Some people keep their traumas from their past, or even their present life hidden from everyone around them. They supress or minimise by saying to themselves ‘others have it worse than me’, or ‘if I don’t talk about it, it isn’t real’ or my favourite, 'reaching out means I'm a failure or I'm weak'. Why am I posting this? ... Because I understand, I’ve said them all. I use to bottle up my emotions, thoughts, feelings, until one day I couldn’t hold it in any longer. I found a coach I could talk to, trust and be completely open and honest with and today I can say, that was the best decision I have ever made. My only regret is not reaching out earlier. I now have my own thriving life coaching business and I have never been happier. Talking to someone truly helped me release the baggage and move forward. I now have the tools and techniques to address issues as they occur. www.formulaforsuccess.com.au

20.01.2022 This post is for all of the mum's out there !! Ever found yourself wondering, who am I other than a mum & wife? I use to think being a mum & wife was my identity, however I now know these are simply roles I play. My identity is about me personally, things I am passionate about, things I am good at. I get asked by my clients all the time, how do I find ME again, as I’ve played the mum & wife role for so long, I’ve lost ME. ... Here are some questions, that you can ask yourself: - What do I enjoy doing with my free time? (I know, a lot of mum’s don’t have free time, so just imagine, what you would like to do if you did have free time? - What activities did I like doing as a child? (mine was colouring in) - What did I do for work before I had my family? - What skills do I have? - What strengths do I have? - What would I like to learn? - What interests do I have? - What makes you smile? I'd love to know if you feel or have felt the same

14.01.2022 When looking at the below diagram, where do you find yourself in your Job, Relationship, Health or Personal Growth? 1. Comfort Zone - Same routine day after day, safe, minimal risk, in some cases bored or feel stuck. 2. Fear Zone - Scared to try anything new due to fear of failure, being judge, not being good enough, the unknown, losing our identity.... 3. Learning Zone - Taking on new challenges, maybe a course, following or finding your passion, personal development, new skills. 4. Growth Zone - Living your dreams, excitement, living life as your true authentic self. Just imagine how you will feel once you have moved past the fear zone and achieve something you have always wanted to do !! Let me know when you are ready, bring on 2021 www.formulaforsuccess.com.au

14.01.2022 Empty Nest Syndrome Refers to the grief that many parents feel when their children move out of home. This condition is typically more common in women, who are more likely to have had the role of primary carer. Parents or care takers can also feel: Sadness, worry, stress, loneliness, emptiness, uselessness, feelings of rejection, feeling like you no longer have a purpose in life, alone, anxiety over the child’s welfare, and maybe even guilt if the relationship with the child... was strained. All of these are perfectly normal feelings & emotions and it's ok to take some time to feel these, however after that, here is where you have a choice: 1. Keep feeling all of the above, stay home, cry, put stress on your body, feel like crap, and sit on the lounge waiting for the phone or the doorbell to ring !! OR 2. You could look at this as a new chapter in your life, you have done the hard yards, done your best and now it's all about YOU. There must have been times when the kids were growing up where you thought "if only I could do this' or 'do that'. Well now you can. Which direction are you going to take? This is where I come in, my mission is to make mums work through these emotions, smile again, have fun, and find their purpose in life. Let's connect

08.01.2022 Happy easter everyone, if you are one of the lucky ones having a 4 day break, enjoy

07.01.2022 Progress not perfection When I first heard the saying, ‘Progress not Perfection’, I had an ‘Aha’ moment. This has now become one of my favourites. Years ago I found myself obsessing about everything. The house had to be perfect, my lawns, my car, my job, my kids, etc and if they weren’t, I felt like a failure, that I wasn’t good enough. ... I put so much pressure on myself, especially when I was a single mum, trying to prove to others how strong I was. I would get up extra early and not go to bed until everything was perfect. What in fact I was doing was a) burning myself out (which evolved into depression) b) not being there for my kids, c) existing not living (you know, on that roller coaster ride, that just wouldn’t stop). Friend & family even stopped coming to my house as they felt uncomfortable. So now my life is more balance. I’m doing things I want to do, not things I feel I have to do, to prove to others I am coping. I hope by sharing this I can give someone else, that ‘Aha’ moment. www.formulaforsuccess.com.au

03.01.2022 Ways to change your state of mind & energy levels: - Change your body, shake it, have a 30 second dance party, or sing out loud to your favourite song. - Stand, (close your eyes) and do your best power pose, maybe a warrior or a super hero and put a big smile on your face. No matter how down you might feel, standing like this can only increase your energy levels and improve your state of mind.... By changing our state and energy levels, we become so much more productive.

02.01.2022 How are your energy levels right now? Who can relate to this, if your energy levels are low, no matter how much you tell yourself to do this or do that, you generally don’t do it? Here is how I measure my energy levels. Energy level (10) = I can achieve anything, unstoppable.... Energy level (5) = 50/50, I achieve half as much as I could or I do achieve the goal or outcome, however it takes so much longer. Energy level (2) = tired, lethargic, no motivation. When my energy level is this low, my day is extremely tough and I have to fight myself to do anything. Did you know, most of our energy comes from mindset & our body. Sleep is good, however not the source, its movement & voice. I will be sharing over the next few days, ways to change your state and increase your energy.
