20.01.2022 VET NURSE HOME VISIT UPDATE - COVID-19 Keep you and your pet healthy during this crisis! I am currently waiting for some PPE to arrive before commencing home visits. My disposable gloves, masks, safety glasses are on their way along with new nail clippers & dog muzzles if required. All equipment will be washed using disinfectant. With this COVID-19 outbreak, some integral questions will need to be answered in order to assure our health. Here are some guidelines to think abo...ut before booking your home visit: 1) have you recently travelled overseas? 2) have you been in contact with anyone with COVID19? 3) are you in ordered isolation/quarantine? 4) what are your pet's needs? ie necessary treatments only 5) is your pet well behaved & compliant? 6) you may be required to assist in holding your pet 7) Owner must also wear gloves & mask which I can provide 8) treatments will be outside to avoid potential health risks 9) cash only payments (which I will place in a sealed plastic bag for disinfecting) TREATMENTS INCLUDE: ^ Nail trims $25 ^ Anal Sac Expression $35 ^ Ear Cleaning $35 ^ Bird wing trim $25 ^ Post surgical check $20 ^ Post surgical sterilisation check including suture removal $30 ^ Dental check $20 (inc estimate for dental work from my preferred vet) ^ Puppy advice & obedience training $50 / 30 minutes At this stage I should be up and running to start Tuesday 14th April after Easter. I am a very sweet, placid, self-assured 10-year-old senior girl who absolutely ...loves to get a good rub, I am a huge smooch and will rub myself all over you until you scratch me. I love to sleep next to you at night, just to make sure you are safe and warm just like l am. You see my hooman mum had to go into a nursing home, l do miss her and need a new hooman who will love me like she did. My foster hooman says l am very polite, l use my litter tray, l really like my food, wet and dry. l think l might be a wee bit overweight but that's ok, my summer bod is coming. I really like my foster hooman, l follow her around cause she is very nice to me. l have lived with another cat in my previous home, and am getting used to the current resident cat but we still stay in different areas of the house and pass by each other very briefly, I think I would be suited to another home with a cat but will need a nice slow introduction, I am unsure of dogs at the moment. I have a long coat so will need regular brushing, i'll bring my hair brushes with me to my new home. 10.01.2022 **Update - so after some back to basics training in a more confined environment to limit external distractions, this gorgeous kelpie has switched back to focussing and responding to his owner. Training sessions are rewarded with free play on the property. ********************************** Being a dog trainer doesn't stop after the practical lessons. This is my morning wake up sms. "Hi Adele it's XXXXX here . We bought our fawn Kelpie XXXXX to your training about 10 or 12mon...ths ago. He is now 15 months old he was going fine until about 5 weeks ago when he started becoming disobedient and now he is will almost do nothing for you unless it suits him ...Can you help us with this ? It's a horrible feeling when he just ignores you." I remember this gorgeous kelpie very well. Very intelligent dog that lives on a large property and was always happy to please. Of course I responded with plenty of tips and training exercises so will be keen to hear how the owner goes. Takes commitment and persistence which I know this owner is willing and capable of.
