21.01.2022 This past Friday morning saw a large group of Forrestdale Primary students, parents and community members band together to participate in Walk To School day. In what has become somewhat of a tradition, students were provided with rubbish bags and gloves and encouraged to pick up rubbish along the way. We split into three different groups walking three different routes back to school. There was a plenty of enjoyment and enthusiasm shown. Well done to all who participated in this event.
19.01.2022 Yesterday we held our ANZAC Day commemorative service. Students, staff, parents and Forrestdale community members came together to participate in the service. Our school choir performed three songs on the day. We also had speeches from Mr Yaz Mubarakai (local member for Jandakot), Mr Michael Fairweather (Secretary, Armadale RSL) and Mr Victor Moss who played a moving Last Post and Reveille. Thank you to all who came along and participated.
17.01.2022 Yesterday we held our Jump Off day. Students from years P-6 participated in a range of skipping activities. These were run by our school prefects and faction captains. Students rotated through six different activities across the hour long event. This was the culmination of a term of practise, effort and fundraising for the Jump Rope For Heart Foundation. The students managed to raise an incredible $2475 which was well over our target of $2000. A special mention must go to Mrs... Jones who worked tirelessly to organise, promote and encourage all students to participate in this wonderful event. Well done to everyone involved! #publiceducationofwesternaustralia #jumpropeforheart
05.01.2022 This afternoon we had the pleasure of making a number of different wreaths for our school ANZAC service. Students, staff and community members all joined together to make this happen. We would like to thank all who donated to this and invite all Forrestdale community members to join us in commemorating ANZAC Day tomorrow morning (22nd April) at 10.00am in front of the library. The service will run for approximately 30 minutes.
05.01.2022 School resumes tomorrow, 27 April. Please remember to follow all guidelines including wearing of masks and practising social distancing.
