25.01.2022 Big weekend. Quick hitch is on and plumbed in and the root rake has had some paint worn off before it got too dark. It will take a bit more practice to really make the most of it. So glad to have it together and working.

25.01.2022 Love seeing these guys about. Trying to get fencing done but...we’ll...watched for a while anyway.

24.01.2022 Very excited. Our frog ponds now have a platypus as well as Rakali (native water rat) living in them. No pictures yet. Bad lighting yesterday evening while we were watching the cutie forage for good. I’m hoping to post a pic soon.

23.01.2022 Happy as a pig in mud

21.01.2022 It’s a berry bonanza here at the moment!

18.01.2022 It has arrived. 980kg back scratcher attachment for the excavator. Nice sunny weekend ahead to fit and plumb in the quick hitch and then some cleanup time.

12.01.2022 Sad day on the farm, my favourite chainsaw is resting in pieces, never to start again. 32 years of faithful, trouble free service.

09.01.2022 500 new reasons to keep cleaning up and fencing. 300 new blueberry seedlings and 200 Juniper Communis seedlings to be planted out this autumn. To the best of my knowledge, we are set to be the first in Tasmania to produce Juniper Berries. Still a few years off though. After a couple of years growing the trees it still takes 2-3 years from flower to mature berries.

08.01.2022 10 year birthday for the trailer this week. Very welcome tool to have finished.

06.01.2022 First run of the recently acquired tractor rotary hoe. Preparations for transplanting our saffron before autumn growth and the winter garlic planting has begun.

04.01.2022 Cute new addition to the herd.

03.01.2022 Picked blueberries today before the rain. Quiet a few Kilos ...

02.01.2022 New chainsaw has arrived. I even have some logs lined up to test it out on the weekend.
