24.01.2022 Please share all around the Great Lakes Region. A lot of local residents may not know that there water pressure is currently too high causing excessive strain on the pipe work and tap fittings. Causing breakages, leaks and noisy pipes and taps. A lot of taps, water heaters and washing machines are only warranted to 500kPa. It's now law to only hand over new homes with a max pressure of 500kpa.... Houses in Forster, tuncurry and numerous other locations across the region exceed 800kPa costing them more money in maintenance and running the risk of damaging there appliances and tapware. We recommend a pressure test on all homes if you suspect high pressure and if it exceeds 500kPa the installation of a pressure limiting valve.
