18.01.2022 Surf life saving NSW is calling for nominations from nippers who are planning to compete at the 2021 State championships. Due to covid restrictions the championships will operate a different timetable to previous years. Junior championships will take place over 4 days and 2 locations. U9-U11s will take place Thursday 25/2 and Friday 26/2 and U12-U14s will take place on Saturday 27/2 and Sunday 28/2. All water events will take place at Swansea Belmont and beach events at Redhe...ad so it will not be possible to compete in both water and beach events. Due to the volatile nature of covid and uncertainty about numbers, at this stage they have asked for expressions of interest / nominations only from each Club. If you are hoping to compete at the junior championships please inform Simon or Beth Lee or send us a message via FB or email before 15 January.

Could age managers please confirm that they will be attending branch this Saturday- we need all hands on deck with so many kids going !! ... We are also looking for a parent to be our covid Marshall on the day - it needs to be someone who doesn’t have any other job to do on the day (so not an age manager Or official) and they will need to be able to get there early! Parents we need your help on Friday afternoon to help to pack equipment such as boards etc - there will be a light board training session at the club Friday afternoon from 445 - we would love to see as many kids there as possible and parents can help with gear while the kids train. Many hands make light work!!! Please comment below or send us a PM or message Grant to confirm if you are able to help out :)

17.01.2022 Information for Nippers heading to Branch Carnival this Satruday at Elizabeth Beach. See program below which is subject to change depending on conditions. - Marshalling for first events is 830am so please be there in plenty of time to warm up and get organised - I'd suggest a 745 arrival to be on the safe side. There may be delays gaining access to the competition area due to COVID measures. - Competitors and officials are required to register on arrival and will be issued a ...wrist band to allow them access to the competition zone. Only those with a wrist band will be allowed access. Registration desks will be located at the Pacific Palms SLSC entrance driveway to the beach. - All parents and spectators will be required to sign in using the QR code. - Please have your childs age group clearly marked in Texta on their left arm & right thigh. - There is no designated warm up area so team managers will indicate the best place to warm up on the day. - Make sure you have a club cap (green and gold) and a pinky. You can not compete without one. - There will be relays and team events - competitors will be allocated to events on the day. If you aren't sure ask one of the team managers or age managers. - Social distancing will be in place - please be mindful of this and listen to the instructions of the covid marshals. - Please do not attend if you or your child is ill or is displaying any kind of COVID symptoms. - The club will be taking a couple of gazebos for the competition area but please feel free to bring and share your shade in the spectator area :) - It is forecast to be a very hot day - make sure you have plenty of water and snacks, a hat and sunscreen. The MOST IMPORTANT part of the day is to HAVE LOTS OF FUN and cheer VERY LOUDLY for your team mates. Send us a PM or comment below if you have any questions! See you all on Saturday!

16.01.2022 Well, that’s a wrap for this seasons branch carnival and what a day it was. Water conditions were not on our side with most of the younger age events cancelled and still very challenging for the older kids. Well done to everyone who gave it a go we are so proud of all of your efforts. Lots of success on the beach with kids running like champions. A big thank you to Grant and the team of age managers and officials and all the parents who helped out. There will be some very exhausted kids (and parents) tonight!
