18.01.2022 A message to all Brides and Grooms effected by the Corona Pandemic- . I should have said this to you at least a month ago.. But if I’m being honest, I’m still trying to get my head around what has and is still happening. .... Had someone told us at the start of 2020 that the world would shut down we would have been like- yeah right!! . So the world shuts down- just goes to show that anything is possible in this crazy life! . And although everyone has been effected by these dramatic times in one way or another, it’s Brides and Grooms I’m reaching out too.. . Wedding season had just begun for our industry and what would of been a full on season of weddings.. Quickly turned into cancellations and refunds . Some of you only had days to go before pulling the pin and I honestly couldn’t even begin to imagine how that felt.. Years of planning your special day, taken away from you in a blink of an eye.. . I am truly so sorry your wedding day didn’t go ahead like planned, and I’m so sorry that much stress was put onto you in such powerless times! . However, through it all.. The unpredictable, the unknown and the supposed to be ‘impossible’ It’s my Brides and Grooms that kept me smiling! It’s you guys that reminded me that everything will be okay and it’s you guys that held your shit together when everything seemed to be falling apart. . Which then reminded me of why I am in this industry.. It’s because of love . The meaning of life is love.. And I don’t care how corny or stupid that sounds to some of you- I believe it from my very core that love will always win no matter what the universe throws at us! . And that’s how we’ll get to the other side of this pandemic. They’ll be great struggles in the road ahead, but if you let love into your hearts, you can conquer anything. . I promise . . 05.01.2022 You guys!!! I did a thing A photo shoot has been in the planning stages for months now! I put all my other projects on hold (momentarily) and put all my focus into creating something beautifully pleasant for the eyes ... Shoots are awesome! Especially when you have an epic team of creatives on board! But- They are particularly awesome because it’s a chance for us creatives, to play around with colours, themes, designs, lighting, whatever! It was so much fun sharing the love of flowers with some delightful girls, teaching them how to create their very own flower crowns. ... 02.01.2022 Some people like a long walk along the beach . But me.. When I have free time, (when I’m not sitting behind the computer screen emailing and quoting) I like spending my time being creative- And not just creating wedding flowers type of thing. More like, stepping outside of the usual, and trying new things/designs/styles/concepts/freely choosing what I like, and what I want to create- that’s why shoots are so great! . I’m at peace with myself when I’m using that part of my ...mind. Starting with an idea, a blank canvas and ending up with something that is so pleasing to the eyes. Sometimes, I have no idea at all, and I let my hands do their thing. Other times I’m inspired by an idea, and then I add that bit of Jess into the mix . And then it gets better.. When you meet other creative, like-minded people that can envision the same outcome. New we’re friendships we’re made this day! And I cannot wait too create some more magic with these insanely talented people . . . This shoot is the beginning of some serious awesomeness!
