23.01.2022 Check these guys out! He’s one of three Dads stomping up the hill with groms in tow. Legends include the whole family on the way to Kosi this morning!! Great to see! This is on the gravel path which goes from Charlotte Pass to Rawson’s Pass (8km of mostly gradual climbing) where you must leave your bike and walk the final 1.5km to the top of Kosci. ... Bikes are allowed from Charlottes to Rawsons but not on the walking path to/from Thredbo or the final section to the summit. Tony Rowland /Colleen Rowland

14.01.2022 THANKS BEN! @b.eyles The (2nd) Superb Fairy Wren. Kunama Resivour, East Jindabyne, NSW. Ben Eyles 2020. .... Redone as promised. For those unaware, this was originally painted earlier this year with funding via @creatensw and their Small Project Grants Funding. It was painted to provide our town with a piece of public art that was intended to bring joy and hope after our bushfire affected Summer and our Covid affected Easter and oncoming Winter. The huge community support after it was maliciously and selfishly destroyed provided evidence that it had indeed had the desired effect. The way the community banded together to crowd fund enough for me to repaint it was incredibly humbling. I did not ask for it and did not expect it, but am extremely grateful for the support. Thank you to the @lakelightsculpture committee for facilitating the crowd funding and thanks again to @snowymonaroregionalcouncil for giving me access and permission to redo the mural, in particular Grant Holmes and his Water management team. I modified the design to make it more anatomically correct, adjusted some colours and added the Cherry Blossom branch. The Blossom is a symbol of rebirth and optimism, and along with the Wren that is active during Spring, this piece is a symbol of hope and new beginnings for our town. Once again, thank you for the support and I will continue to advocate for public art in our region. Come and chill with us in the not so cold Snowy Mountains this Summer! . @georginadewar It took about 2.8 seconds after we arrived at the lake this afternoon for them both to be in the water fully clothed. Our two little water babies, they absolutely love it. Can’t wait for more summer days on the water with our little fam!

11.01.2022 The Hatchery Bay bike ride is easy to do as it follows the lakeside contour around the west side of the lake from Snowline to Hatchery Bay. So no mountains for that matter. Just great scenery and a few cows. There’s a bunch of great little stops along the way if you wanted to make the most of it. Pack a picnic lunch and take a dip in the lake at on of the little beaches along the way. No dogs allowed in the cow paddocks though, so not pasted the first section after the gri...d/gate...there’s signs Grab a bike from any of the Jindy bike shops @gravityjindabyne @alpinesportsjindabyne @sacredridejindabyne and enjoy! @traceycroke

07.01.2022 I’m liking this view from my new office Expect a few sunset pics, it might not always be here but it’s always beautiful. Mt Kosciuszko is up on that range to the right. I don’t think I’ve got a clear shot from here as it’s a few valleys over, but just knowing it’s there is pretty bloody special.
