21.01.2022 Question : Should we train to failure? Answer : Depends what your goals are! I get asked this a lot. And I always have the same answer. It depends what your goals are. If your looking to build a body bigger and stronger with no concern for endurance or any other fitness parameters then the answer is definitely yes. I am yet to see a person in the gym add any significant size or strength to their frame , and I say significant in its true meaning - important to be worthy of at...tention - who does not train to failure. What is failure? In terms of a lifting and weight training sense. It’s taking the set , regardless of reps involved , to the point of the muscles complete inability to contract in a concentric contraction. ( muscle shortening while contracting ) If we don’t give the body a reason to change it will stay the same. The body is happy staying in a state of homeostasis and that’s no different when we look at the bodies muscular system. If we take every set to the point when WE decide oh yeah that will do, I got my reps out. then the body has no need to change anything. ie it did what it needed to do so we survive. However if we take a set to absolute muscle failure then we have a problem. The body didn’t and couldn’t do what we wanted it to do. So in order to do what we want it to do it needs to adapt we have just given it a reason to change.

03.01.2022 If you think this looks easy it’s not! Taylor just makes it look ridiculously easy. Try it, and don’t forget those elbows in the out position.

03.01.2022 Chloe is another success story, just look at these transformations in the time period of just 6 months. Chloe was never a gym goer, was not really into sports and especially never wanted or desired the the gym life. NOW, she deadlifts, benchpresses and is currently learning her Olympic lifts. Watch this space !! Well done Chloe.

02.01.2022 From scrawn to brawn, this is what you can do in 12 months of training, IF you know what your doing. Josh has been training with me for a year now and just look at the gains this bloke has made. I truly believe anyone can make great gains like this if they know the right exercise selections and combine it with the correct method! I believe that there’s only a limited amount of exercises that actually work and that are therefore worth doing. ... People need to understand that just because an exercise feels good, looks good or has not been seen before, doesn’t make it the answer to all your problems. In fact it probably belongs in the bullshit bin. See more
