25.01.2022 Cosy bar at Radio Springs Hotel, Lyonville. Check it out when you're next in Daylesford, it's only 5 minutes away on the Trentham road. Great food. Interesting characters.
25.01.2022 Beautiful creatures at Lavandula in Shepherds Flat, outside Hepburn Springs.
25.01.2022 So lovely to see the sun glistening on Lake Daylesford.
25.01.2022 Twilight in the Gardens - Delighted to see that the Wombat Hill cafe is open till 8.30 pm on Fridays for the summer. A sublime location for a twilight meal or a drink.
23.01.2022 We had a couple stay at Fortuna Cottage last night. Their comments in the visitors book were: "Thank you for a very enjoyable short break away. We loved sitting in front of the open fire listening to music and talking. A beautiful place and very hospitable. Thank you again and we will be back." I must book in and try this Fortuna Cottage out myself!
23.01.2022 Stunning morning at Lake Daylesford. The Boat House is under new management (Clare and Suzanne, ex-Farmers Arms Hotel) and everything is ticking along nicely.
22.01.2022 If you agree that stories are the foundation for a connected and happy life, then you must visit Story House and Garden when you come to Daylesford. It is a place where people come together to listen, share and develop stories. Led by Anne E. Stewart, story teller extraordinaire.
20.01.2022 People think of Daylesford and think massages, spas, food and wine. And that is certainly the case. But for those who want something really different, how about a spotlight night tour through the Wombat State Forest? You are picked up from your accommodation and taken to the forest to look for wild native animals - wombats, kangaroos, wallabies and possums. Now that's something to tell people about when you go home!
15.01.2022 Our guests had a wonderful time and left us these beautiful flowers as a 'thank you.'
15.01.2022 A full moon over Fortuna.
14.01.2022 Daylesford looks like a picture postcard today! Guests will be kept warm with the heating and the fire.
14.01.2022 Had enough of the fabulous food, delicious massages and open fires in Daylesford? Then why not try our local cinema! Run entirely by very professional volunteers showing a broad range of films. Tickets can be purchased online or at the box office.
13.01.2022 Chillout - it's what we do in Daylesford and it's also our biggest festival of the year. There is a jam packed program with something for everyone. Find out more on https://www.chilloutfestival.com.au/
13.01.2022 If you're going to be in Daylesford on Sunday, 7th August at 2.30 pm, don't miss the Melbourne Guitar Quartet. They were fantastic last year! Tickets $30 - great value for an afternoon's entertainment.
08.01.2022 We may be (a little) biased but we totally agree with the conclusion that Daylesford is Australia's #1 short holiday destination.
08.01.2022 If you're thinking of coming to Daylesford, make sure you pick up a brochure for Artober. Runs from 1 Oct - mid-November. Lots of open studios, galleries and community art events.
07.01.2022 We like to promote new and interesting things to do and see in Daylesford and we're very excited about Angie Izard's new studio in Porcupine Ridge. Open to the public Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11 - 4. Porcupine Ridge is only a 10 minute drive from Daylesford. Definitely something to add to the list of 'must see' when coming to Daylesford.
05.01.2022 Another great option for a Saturday or Sunday lunch when staying in Daylesford - Guildford Winery. Between Daylesford and Castlemaine. Fab food and delicious wines! And this view!
04.01.2022 Words in Winter is one of our favourite events in Daylesford. August 4 - 13. Check out what is on offer!
02.01.2022 WooHoo, look at this lavender outside Fortuna Cottage! It is attracting lots of butterflies. Competition for Lavandula?!
01.01.2022 We are delighted to achieve an overall score of 9.2 from guests' reviews in 2018. Up from 8.9 in 2017. Thank you all!
