01.01.2022 I’ve had a few new faces on here so thought I would introduce myself! I don’t think I actually have done that technically yet My name is Marlee and I own/barber at @forty.eight.barber shop. I have four years experience barbering and a couple extra years (wayyy back in my teens) hairdressing. After I had my first kiddo I knew I wanted a change from the mining industry where I was doing accounting/reception and it was the best decision I have ever made! I have just completed ...my Cert IV Trainer and Assessor and I cannot wait to share my passion with others that want to follow this career path. I have worked with some incredible people (you know who you are) and connection is the main reason I do what I do! Giving people help to feel good about themselves brings me joy and I love the stories we get to share along the way. I love meeting people from all walks of life and most things are always on the table for discussion. No judgement, just a good yarn and an even better haircut! I consider my barbershop a safe space for all that enter and the new place I will be moving to soon will be exactly the same. I am not a girl that is attached to her hair and am constantly changing. I live for music and a sucker for old rock. Perhaps born in the wrong era I am naturally creative and love to paint, draw, sew and restore old furniture in my spare time (which I don’t have much of haha). As well as taking care of my 2 littles and 1 big (husband).
