21.01.2022 I am so very proud of the team from FORWAARD Aboriginal Corporation. Winning the Small Business Award at last Saturday’s, NT Training Awards, was a fantastic outcome and an excellent result for all the many months of development and training that was undertaken. I want to acknowledge Sheryl, Kathy, Joanne and Rikki for their contribution in making this award-winning program a reality. Without you these accolades would not be possible, and our team of dedicated staff would no...t be the recipients of this high-class training. Additionally, thank you to our RTO, Alana Kaye College. Your assistance and steadfast support with the development and assessment of this program is appreciated, and the team at FORWAARD recognise that without you, our endeavours would not have realised. A fantastic outcome and so well deserved, Regards Steve, (a delighted FORWAARD, CEO)

12.01.2022 As part of GIVIT’s National Indigenous Support Program we are spreading the generosity of our corporate donors across the Northern Territory to impoverished res...idents. A major Australian clothing manufacturer donated new items and underwear that GIVIT is distributing to Top End charities, including to the clients of the Foundation Of Rehabilitation With Aboriginal Alcohol Related Difficulties (FORWAARD) in Darwin. GIVIT’s NT Coordinator Tali Dunnage-Burke said she was excited to see the positive impact the donations were making. More than 300,000 surplus items from the manufacturer have been passed onto to charities registered with GIVIT across the country. #northernterritory #NT #topend #helppeopleofthent #support #charity #bethechange #causes

11.01.2022 My name is Daniel, I'm an EXTREMELY grateful recovering addict. Today I've been clean for 4 years. I entered The Glen Rehabilitation Center in 2015. Prior I ha...d lost my family home, the respect of friends, the love and admiration of my children, the love of my life and last of all my freedom. I was emotionally, physically and spiritually bankrupt. I never at any stage had it in my mind to stop using all drugs and alcohol. I basically went to the Glen to get off ice and to appease the courts, I was facing multiple charges. My first 6-8 weeks at the Glen was the hardest in my life. But as the ice haze and insanity started to lift I started listening. And for the first time in my life I just shut up and did everything that was suggested. The Glen taught me to face the biggest obstacle in my life, ME. I learnt a new way to live my life without drugs and alcohol. I actively participated in the Glen's Indigenous dance group, spoke at an ice convention in front of federal ministers, I trained in the gym everyday and went into the glens transition centre. The sacred fire at the Glen is a very special place for me. I shared my pain and agony and my strength and hope. I made many promises and wished for many things. Through much hard work and great sacrifice I got everything I asked for. I'm now back with my family, I have a great job, i pick up my little girls from school everyday, i have a beautiful place to live, i own my own car. I have reconciled with all my family and friends. I don't know where my life would be without the Glen's influence. Much love to Joe and all the staff at the Glen. I will be a Glen boi forever.
