25.01.2022 Bringing this article from the latest IFA magazine to our client's attention. With the government's extension to the increased instant asset write-off, until 31 December 2020, business owners can write off a number of fitout elements from their taxable income (up to $150,000). This includes common assets like commercial kitchen appliances, air-conditioning units, new finishes/furniture and more. 24.01.2022 In response to a request we received over the weekend, here are some BEFORE and AFTER shots of our work so far with Club Catalina. As part of our 3-year Building Master Plan to reposition the Club in its marketplace, FTD has so far guided the Club through improvements to its alfresco dining terraces, main bar, members lounge and bistro. 18.01.2022 Collaborating with Vanessa and the Forward Thinking Design team at Common Ground in Camperdown has been an extremely rewarding process that incorporated a variety of research and feedback methods, ensuring an accessible and inclusive engagement with residents, staff and partners. We are all excited to use these deep insights for informed recommendations on renovations, works and decorations to improve the building! Vanessa and the team went above and beyond and were endlessl...y available to support from the beginning and ongoing. Kyle is the Community Development Officer for the Common Ground, Camperdown and Ivanhoe branches of Mission Australia. This glowing testimonial (thank you Kyle!) was provided in the context of our building master plan work with Mission Australia, conducted during the challenging times of COVID-19 and early 2021. Very difficult to run a social housing engagement project during a pandemic! We put our creative hats on and came up with a range of consultation methods that yielded solid, user-driven recommended improvements to make Common Ground a more inviting place for residents to call home. 16.01.2022 FTD has joined fellow B Corps in signing a joint letter to Commonwealth parliamentarians in support of the Zali Steggall OAM MP's Climate Change Bill. To turn climate action into legislation and to ensure Australia achieves Net Zero emissions by 2050, Zali Steggall OAM MP is proposing The Climate Act law, which will be tabled to parliament on Monday, November 9th 2020. One thing you can do to support the Climate Change Bill is to send an email to your local MP encouraging them to support the Climate Act.
