They are very cute and it will not take long for them to become sweet smoochy kittens. They just need a nice quite room to start off with and someone who will take their time and give them lots of love and cuddles to bring these kittens out of their shells. They have been together for a week so we will keep them together. Please contact us at Warra Shelter at Bracken Ridge on 3631 6800 or email us at [email protected]

07.01.2022 Do you have a designated foster area in your home? Wed love to see your set up! Please post some photos below so we can share ideas We always struggle to find carers for contagious cats and kittens as a s quite a daunting thought for many, so I thought Id start by sharing my foster area at home, the crate is more than big enough for these unwell babies who need isolation. These babies have 3 siblings with ringworm who will need a carer in a few days time, so if you think you can set up a crate and would like to help look after little ones like this, comment below. We provide all PPE and can supply a crate too if needed.

01.01.2022 Hi everyone, in the unlikely event we are required to temporarily close due to COVID-19. We are preparing an animal care plan. Please note at this stage everything is as normal, and hopefully that will continue. Please see the email that has been sent out to all our amazing foster carers and volunteers. Please do not email or call but instead click on this link to register, https://www.awlqld.com.au/covid-19-foster-call-out-register/ This is the only way we can keep track ...of who is available to help if needed. In response to the increasing concern regarding Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Animal Welfare League Queensland is implementing a series of plans to mitigate the risks associated with this. These proactive measures are being taken in an effort to keep our animals, staff and volunteers safe, and allow our team to focus on supporting our community and continuing our lifesaving work. We will continue to maintain the high standards of animal care we always provide. In the event AWLQ is directed to temporarily close we would need to evacuate all animals from our four Animal Rehoming Centres. The welfare of the animals in our care is paramount with this in mind we have put together an animal care plan and hope you may be able to assist with this. We are asking any of our incredible foster carers, who may be able to assist with the care of animals during this period of temporary closure, to register your interest here. https://www.awlqld.com.au/covid-19-foster-call-out-register/ We anticipate this will be for a minimum two week period during this time you will be provided all the foster care supplies you require and will have access to 24 hour phone support. To assist with planning, we ask that if you are able to assist, to please complete the online registration by Friday, 20 March 2020. We thank you in advance with your support during these challenging times.
