25.01.2022 Trading Update: I will be at the music shop from 10.30 till 3 pm weekdays, unless I'm on deliveries. In store: 1 customer in the shop at a time... 2 metre distance I may or may not have a mask on, I most definately will not laugh or think you are silly if you are wearing one. Deliveries: My plan to move forward for the foreseeable future is to deliver to your door/mailbox so there is no person to person contact. I realise this makes accessories easy, but trying out an instrument impossible, but I can let you in to the shop to try something. Rest assured anything touched by anyone will be thoroughly cleaned the moment you are gone.This goes for instruments, front counter, eftpos machine, door handles etc. This goes for deliveries as well. Goods will be wiped thoroughly with antibacterial cleaner, however common sense should suggest that you wipe goods again when you get them. I will take credit card over the phone, or bank transfer.Goods wont be delivered until the transfer comes through.I still accept cash in store, but no C.O.D. Delivery fees: Burnie $5 Devonport/Ulverstone $10 Smithton/Stanley $10 Delivery areas - Devonport/Ulverstone --- Tuesdays Smithton/Stanley-----------Wednesdays Smithton/Devonport, minimum of 3 deliveries to do a run, or we work out a price. 01.01.2022 "Flatten the Curve" From today, 18th March, I will be closing Fosters Music Centre and staying home to do my part in "Social Distancing".I encourage everyone to do the same.Dont go on as normal because in a week or 2 , I dont think things will be the same. The phone will be diverted to my mobile, and I *MAY* be available to help with supplies to musos.... This was sudden and will be an inconvenience to alot of people,and im sorry, but it will be quite a small blip on the landscape really as the days and weeks progress.If you have a layby or something on order, Im sure i can work something out with you. I plan to re-open of course, when I dont know, lets see where we are in a week. Considering across the globe cases double roughly every 3 days, coupled with not a huge amount of testing in Tasmania(according to many people), I think cases will explode all over Tasmania. That is how it works: Case, case, case, cluster, cluster, BOOM. We dont want to be the next Italy. I do not believe that Corona virus is hype, we only have to see what has happened to other countries to see what is coming. The common theme in other countries buckling under pressure is "wish we acted sooner". Social distancing works to help and this is not just about me or my familys health, its about the wider community and not spreading the virus. Our hospitals CAN NOT handle it.This is going to get bad. We can only try to lessen the blow. IT IS NOT DIFFERENT HERE. I dont need the government to tell me what should be common sense to everyone. I SINCERELY HOPE IM WRONG.Be safe

01.01.2022 CLOSED DOOR POLICY If anyone needs any music gear to keep themselves amused over the next few months, particularly if you are in town and have travelled some distance, ring the shop number, 6431 5409, it will reach me on my mobile.Theres a good chance I will be at the shop or nearby, and to limit contact I would prefer 1 or 2 people only at a time. I also ask people not to touch anything. This is not just because I think you all have germs, its also so you dont catch any. I... do think its prudent to interact with people as if we all have the virus, and be extra vigilant about our personal hygiene. It goes without saying dont come if you are sick. Do not expect to be let in if you are coughing, sneezing or showing any symptoms of a cold or flu. We are all dealing with this in our own way, and this is my way for now.
