25.01.2022 My wife is a master creator. If you dont believe me, heres two of her relatively recent creations. 24.01.2022 Having some fun with these Gemma Peanut challenges!

24.01.2022 Today we celebrate the number eight. Eight years of being married to this glorious human being. At this time of year I often find myself thinking about our relationship developmentally. Children have these loosely held milestones that are typically achieved as they grow. Finding the commonalities between your years of marriage and a childs stage of development can sometimes make for a rather fun and/or embarrassing time.... But fear not! Because developmental psychologists suggest that between the ages of 8-12, humans experience some of the most ecstatic times in their life. Life typically feels full of wonder and adventure, our imagination is teeming with possibilities and the world has morphed itself into one gigantic blank canvas for us to scribe the stories of our life upon! Were on the up and up @lysette_lecerf! Eight years young and weve got a lot of exciting stories to tell. You are definitely the ring leader of these stories but I am uber excited to share my years with you and cant wait to live out the new narrative we have slowly been working towards! Thank you for choosing to share your life with me Happy anniversary! See more

21.01.2022 Another family film reveal dropping tonight!!! You are going to love witnessing this little piece of the Marshalls world! They are an authentic and curious, nature loving tribe!... It was a serene day I got to spend with them! See more

21.01.2022 Sometimes you may find yourself immersed within a thin space. We all know this space, because weve all experienced them. Its those rare moments that seem to slip away just a little too quickly, the ones that make magic feel entirely tangible. Its having your world simultaneously expanded yet somehow grounded in that very same moment. ... It wasnt long ago that I found myself in one of these spaces, when I got to spend the day filming the Marshalls. They are the kind of people that run against the grain, intentionally choosing to live their life in ways that keep them deeply connected to their roots, honouring their values and authentically representing who they are. I hope you enjoy witnessing them and their rhythms as much as I did. https://vimeo.com/363507300

20.01.2022 Today Lysette celebrated her thirtieth orbit of the sun. And so far, Ive been fortunate enough to have been part of the past ten. I often find myself wondering how I became so lucky, sharing my life with a person like her. In this last decade she has faced the world with an open heart and open mind. She began a process of deep refinement, curiously sifting through and reevaluating the values and beliefs she holds dearest to her heart. She voyaged through her darkest nights, ...crumbled under the weight of despair, gathered herself together again and rose. Time and time again, she rose. Forging from the pieces of her life a beautiful new foundation to begin from. It has been one wild metamorphosis to observe and I feel honoured to have been apart of it. You have journeyed so far into yourself and I can not wait to see how your external reality begins aligning with your inner world. You are inspiring beyond all imagination and I am so lucky to be your best friend! Happy birthday Lysette Candice. You are pure magic! See more

19.01.2022 These days, I find myself more attuned to the finer details of this precious earth. 19.01.2022 Remember Sarah? Weve been working together on a few projects, and this is the latest video! We had originally chatted about a concept for the video that we were going to go ahead with, but on the day, Mother Nature showed up with her own plans. So we listened, trusted our intuition and something completely different and spontaneous was born. If youre curious, the music is by the phenominal Hidden Land. They are beyond words!

19.01.2022 Meet the Thomas family. Parents are the unsung heroes of the world. Raising heart led, empathic, kind and conscious little humans. Sowing into our littlies these kinds of traits requires much love, presence and copious amounts of patience. Most of this transference happens behind closed doors where no one can witness these moments of deep nurturing and connection.... The warmth of a mother's embrace, the joy of a child held safely within the presence of a father. It’s these moments, often small but sometimes big, that become the most enduring in our memories as we grow and become. It’s an honour to be a seeker of moments like these. Searching for tiny sparks that illuminate and hold the space between us. And what a joy, and how easy it was to capture these four! So full of love, full of presence and full of tiny moments of raw beauty. Their Sundays are days for rest. Days to unwind and to lean in a little closer. To go for walks, play in the sand and pick daisies. It was a beautiful winter's day and I was lucky enough to be there to capture it for them. Enjoy, friends! https://vimeo.com/448684657

13.01.2022 And here it is... the full wedding film of Lauren and Ben. These two were sooo chilled and easy to work with! If there was a desired vibe that you hoped for from a couple on their wedding day, they optimised it. There was still the plethora of emotions that you would expect a couple to experience, but their nervousness was as equally balanced with their assurance that the most important thing to them was each other, and the commitment they were going to make. Congratulations you two! It was an absolute joy to be able to share in your journey

13.01.2022 I realised this space was lacking content that gave you a physical glimpse of me. So, hey! Im Jarrod. Im one third of the Le Cerf-Emerson household and am the human behind the camera at Fotosis. Ive been taking photos and making films for about three years now, slowly edging my way towards making this my primary vocation. Over the years Ive found that my photography and filmmaking has become somewhat of a contemplative practice. Attuning my eyes, awake...ning my senses, helping me be present to whats before me. I try to remind myself that this art form, as with all art, is an invitation to seek out the deeper meaning hidden within a moment. Some artists have developed the eyes to see reality a few layers deeper, and because of this, their work is a reflection of the most raw and honest parts of what it means to be human. This is the kind of artist I aspire to be. One who authentically captures the experience of Life. When Im not peering through the lens of my camera, youll sometimes find me wandering in the bush, searching for terrain that has been somewhat untouched. I feel most alive being under a starry sky, so evening walks are some of my favourite. I am a sucker for a good BBC crime thriller but most nights, me and my girls are unabashedly flailing our limbs out of beat to our favourite dance playlist. And yes, the volume knob is always turned just a little too far to the right... the neighbours like it better that way Peace and love friends, Jarrod. @ Warragul, Victoria See more

11.01.2022 Late last year I got to spend half a day immersed within the presence of the Wiggers family. Capturing families spending time together teaches you a lot about who they are. You get to observe both the bigness of their collective energy as well as those tiny moments that really give them their character. Its the greatest and most inspiring part about doing this kind of work. After half a day, let me tell you, these five are whole hearted seekers and celebrators. The...y are creators of rhythms and rituals, keeping the book of their life filled with stories of those still quiet moments and great family adventures. Whether from their balcony or on sandy shores, they find their peace and sanctuary at the waters edge. And its because they have listened so intently to that small voice calling them forward, that they are able to with such ease, live wholeheartedly, celebrating each and every day like it is the only one matters. Thank you Wiggers, for letting me share in a small piece of your family story. Hope you guys enjoy your film! See more

11.01.2022 I like to self evaluate after my sessions with clients. And something Ive found is that the most evocative images Ive captured have always been a result of me taking a step back and letting life unfold naturally. Whether filming or taking photos, theres always a temptation to try and curate the perfect moment. And what Ive learnt is that as soon as we start trying to force connection, people sense it, maybe not even consciously, but they do. They sense it and they disen...gage... especially children! Trying to foster authentic connection within an environment where people are already feeling various degrees of awkwardness and discomfort is tricky. Some creatives seem well versed in this fine art, and I am slowly learning. This photo however, captures the authentic connection I desire. There was no guiding, no direction, no attempt at posing. Just a mother comforting her unsettled child who was tired of having her photo taken in gusty winds. Happy Wednesday friends. See more

10.01.2022 This past month has reminded me about the fragility of life, of the impermanence of our existence and the rare fortune in second chances. We’ve had a myriad of crisis’s that our family has been confronted with. And right in the midst of it all, we decided to sell/give away a whole bunch of our possessions and move into a tent. Yep, you heard it, a tent! It’s been a turbulent and disruptive season with lots of stress, lots of tears and lots of learning to d...o life a whole lot differently. But touch wood, we’re starting to feel like we’re crossing the periphery of this dark night and the dust is slowly beginning to settle. And it is only now, by the grace of hindsight, that I am beginning to notice how these dark nights have always been central to my creativity and how I express myself. Weather through my own direct experience or witnessing another’s journey through one, these are the places I have observed life in some of its rawest and most honest forms. Thomas Moore refers to this as a ‘dark luminosity’, an ominous yet ever present kind of hope and beauty riddled within the cracks of life. And as I sit with those two words I can feel their weight and warmth enveloping me like an old childhood blanket. It reminds me of something a lecturer of mine once said. He believed that we could be like vessels of transformation, standing within the thresholds of life and holding within our hands the tension of opposing forces; life and death, darkness and light, heaven and hell, yin and yang. And it is only now, over a decade on, that I am beginning to see how I may find myself tangled within the web of this great invitation and how it has always underpinned my creativity, infusing a type of dark luminosity into the foundations of everything that I do. This season, with all of its potholes, is filling me with vitality and determination to see this year through, poised and willing to hold delicately these immensities, hoping that the quiet radiance hidden within them will flow through me and back into the world. Let’s see what comes :) Peace and love friends See more

10.01.2022 Just over 11 years ago I was standing in a small room, kicking a ball around with a group of people at the University I was studying at. Small rooms and flying balls usually result in things being broken. And alas, it was so. The ball was kicked, the clock was hit, the broken pieces lay scattered on the floor. There was a brief moment of silence before the guilty person shrieked and then vanished out the door, fleeing from any potential of them being captured b...y the lecturer who’s room we were in. As Lysette disappeared around the corner, acquitting herself of blame and placing all liability onto us, I can remember standing there thinking... I think I love that girl!? But it wasn’t just this moment. There were moments stacked upon moments of me observing qualities in her that made my heart sing. Like how nothing was ever small with her. If she was happy, it wasn’t the arches of her smile that would give it away but the bouncing, bubbly joy that would overflow from within her. If there was something to be celebrated, her whole body would sing in an unapologetic chorus of cheer and laughter. And on those days when the world would feel just that little bit darker, her tears would caress and stream down the sides of her face. She was a wholehearted kind of person. Full of curiosity and wonder, she would contemplate the meaning of her existence in some of the most profound and transformative ways. She was the kind of person who would pave the way forward, a leader, not by choice but propensity. The hallmarks of her personality have persisted throughout the years that I have spent living beside this human. And yet, she has morphed and integrated and moulded into even more. She is a Wonder Woman, a wise sage, the most beautiful of all the goddesses. And I am constantly counting myself as one of the luckiest. So it feels more like an honour, to be able to put words to text and to boast about the magnificence and magic of my best friend and wife. Oh, and today marks the 31st year of her gracing this earth with her presence, and the 11th year I’ve had the privilege of celebrating beside her. Happy Birthday Lysette! See more

09.01.2022 Exactly two years ago, life gifted us with the joy of raising this little human. And how wonder filled have our days become since her arrival. Her wide eyed curiosity and the way she carefully observes the world continues to draw me ever deeper into the beauty and complexity of what it means to be human. 09.01.2022 This is us. My family. Weve begun the year wide eyed with anticipation as new opportunities have finally started to shape and morph themselves well within our horizons. You know that feeling you get, deep within your gut, as you slowly edge yourself towards a periphery? Were right there. Preparing ourselves to jump and see what mysteries lie in wait for us. It feels like the last few years of our lives have been a process of cultivating our space, weeding our gard...en, preparing our foundations and readying ourselves to begin breathing life into the dreams weve been keeping (relatively) hidden away. So this year, 2020, as we all venture into the beginnings of a new decade. May you have all the courage to bring forth those dreams youve been keeping hidden away. Dare greatly. Live fully. And most of all, ride shotgun, dont let fear sit in the drivers seat! Youve got this. 06.01.2022 In the height of restrictions I had the privilege of being both photographer and witness to these two stunning humans. Despite all the odds, they refused to let anything hold them back from acknowledging their desire to spend the rest of their lives together. Let me paint the picture... their wedding day was wet. Sorry, did I say wet? I meant torrential... Think monsoon scale weather in epic proportions! On top of the weather, they had four venue changes and nearly... had to say I do outdoors, with zero friends and family there to witness their new beginning. Nothing was going to stop these two! And man was their love infectious. Once they were officially married we got about a 45minute window of no rain so made a dash for the outdoors, and MY GOODNESS... This was probably my favourite photo session Ive been apart of so far! They kept trying to apologise for being so awkward, and for not knowing what to do (cue tumbleweed). Right!? Capturing a love like this is the reason I pick up my camera. You two are epic! Ps. There was also a tiny little human nestled away, soaking up all of that glorious oxytocin @ Sorrento, Victoria, Australia See more

05.01.2022 Have you met Sarah? Shes a holistic practitioner from the Mornington Peninsula. Trying to describe her official role and what she does is a little tricky. Not because its overly complicated but because what she does doesnt really fit within conventional titles. On the surface shes a Pilates teacher; shell get you working on a reformer and have you swinging from an aerial hammock, working your body and strengthening your muscles. But when you go and ac...tually experience one of her sessions, youll quickly discover that that title is far too limiting to encompass all that she does. So then, how to describe her? Shes a modern day alchemist, the local village healer, a person who searches for meaning beneath unturned stones. She draws from a deep pool of wisdom, bringing together the various elements of traditions that have been practiced since time immemorial, working to combine them into a session designed to help bring your Whole Self back into alignment. Think pilates... with a little yoga, combined with a dash of meditation, rolled into a ball of laughter and burning muscles, topped off with a hot cup of tea and tarot cards... but only if thats your thing! Shes created a warm, vibrant space that perfectly compliments her personality and teaching style: fluid, engaged and profoundly dynamic. Can you say, dream client!? Yep! Weve been working together on some new content for her socials and website. Its going to be good! Stay tuned to see what weve been up to. See more
