04.01.2022 In a post COVID-19 world, we are working to actively provide the training that our FameLab participants need to enhance their careers in science. Some of the goals that our 2020 FameLab Alumni shared with us with relation to their media training are below. Can you think of any more goals that an early to mid-career researcher might like to work towards via a scicomm program like FameLab? I would like to improve my live interview skills and also be quicker at answering quest...ions pertaining my research. I would also like to improve my confidence when speaking publicly. It will be great if I can get further training to present my work effectively by overcoming fear. Gain confidence to interact with the media and communicate research to general audiences in an engaging but not over-simplified fashion. Improve ability to speak confidently and eloquently when asked unexpected questions. Learn how to connect and become someone for media to contact. Communicate complex scientific ideas to a wider audience. #scicomm #FameLab #STEM #WomeninSTEM #WAMuseum
