01.01.2022 The 19th March - Slow Food Earth Market Maitland is on this Thursday between 8:30am and 1:30pm at The Levee Central Maitland. Please come and buy delicious imm...une boosting produce and support your local farmers A message from Earth Market Maitland: A fresh food market like ours in the open air is considered an essential food source and is allowed to operate under current government guidelines. Our farmers are growing some of the best seasonal produce and have been blessed with plenty of rain and sunshine. Our community is fortunate to be food secure in these unprecedented times. Your attendance and purchases from our farmers at the Slow Food Earth Market is vital. We value your support at these times and are taking recommended precautions for the work health and safety of our customers, our volunteers and the community. The fresh food sold at the Earth Market Maitland is picked by the farmer, travels a very short distance to The Levee in Central Maitland and is sold by the farmer or a Slow Food volunteer. Minimum handling and recommended precautions will be taken to ensure that money transactions are handled by a single cashier in each stall wearing gloves. Whenever possible, we encourage the use of tap-and-go payments rather than cash. Thank you for your consideration. There will be a hand washing station so that customers, farmers, volunteers and members of the community can wash and use the sanitiser. We ask for your help to be patient and wait your turn at the stalls. If you are unwell or have any symptoms of the virus, or have had contact with anyone who has had symptoms) or have travelled overseas in the past 14 days, we ask that you do not attend the Earth Market. Ask a friend or another family member to collect your produce instead. Please follow the link on the Slow Food Earth Market Maitland Facebook page for a complete list of produce that is available at the Earth Market this Thursday 19th. For any enquires: please message Amorelle Dempster on 0427 548 886
