24.01.2022 Morning coffee and Butterflies, Mary Poppins Style!

23.01.2022 We visited the Porcupine gorge today. First we had a look at the lookout point which was very impressive and then we did the big walk down into the gorge at the Piramide. Beautiful little swimming spots were waiting for us right down the bottom. #porcupinegorge #fouradvanturing ... #malidesignsau #travelingaustraliawithkids #caravanningwithkids See more

23.01.2022 Sometimes with little ones, you just need a play and hang out with other little ones.... Just at random ....We passed the town public library here in Hughenden and were invited into their special play group. The guest speaker was an Australian kids book author of the 8 Birdie and the ..... Books.... They are amazing little story's to help kids though tough times with Natural disasters etc. Today was focused on helping kids with the fairly recent Floods. Playgroup/ crafts and fruit platters to follow- the girls were in heaven! Such amazing hospitality and sense of community in these little towns! We have decided to stay here an extra night.

22.01.2022 Absolutely love the EGR Rolltrac and the different set-up you can do with it. Using it for our bikes in general and a rooftop tent for when we leave the caravan to explore 4x4 tracks. #egrrolltrac #fouradvanturing #travellingaustraliawithkids #caravanningwithkids

22.01.2022 Just a few more pictures of our Cania Gorge adventure day as it was such a beautiful day!

20.01.2022 A I R L I E B E A C H We had the BEST time in Airlie! Peter and I have put it on the list of places to settle once we've finished travelling. So much to see and do. The Eco Big 4 was in a great location just out of Town in the rainforest- and the owners were so lovely! The girls LOVED being so close to the airport with all the planes and helicopters landing and taking off.... We didn't get a chance to get out on the water this trip but we will be back for sure- i can't wait for a dive! Now on to our next spot.... ?

19.01.2022 Porcupine gorge, 68kms north of Hughenden. First we went to the lookout point which was very impressive and then we did the big walk down into the gorge at the Pyramid. Beautiful little swimming spots were waiting for us right down the bottom. Milla our 4 year old smashed the whole hike down and Up ( happy the whole way with no tears or winging). We were a bit of a matchy matchy family in our Mali tops- I must say they are amazing for this sort of thing!... #porcupinegorge #fouradvanturing #malidesignsau #travelingaustraliawithkids #caravanningwithkids

17.01.2022 Let's keep it real for a moment.... Obviously Travelling full time will always has its ups and downs and both will pop up when you usually least expect it! Here we are in the beautiful FNQ and Peter had just come back from a week away at work which we were all so excited for....and here we are in The Gorgeous Paronella Park for 2 nights. ... The camp site is amazing, set amongst the rain forest. Fantastic history and beautiful scenery! ....And all s#%t hit the fan! Both kids cracked it on the tour and NOTHING was right! They are both sleeping now thank God! and Peter took the time to do a workout to blow off some steam and now and as I sit here enjoying a coffee and chocolate (as I thought its a little tooooo early for wine!) I notice loads of other Travelling families arguing and loosing their cool with each other too, all with thwarted intentions of how this is all meant to go..... No beautiful family photos frolicking in the fields! Im telling myself as much and you that, It's ok to have these days.... Its just like at home and Its all still real life. Fingers crossed the night tour is a hit as my two both love the music and party lights( haha must be from their 'used to be cool once parents')

17.01.2022 Mamu Skywalk Views for days.... Felt a little wobbly and sick at the top but such an awesome View of the Johnson River area.

15.01.2022 WINTON What a great little town! We camped 2 nights behind the Australian Hotel in town.... We enjoyed our first dinner out at the local pub and Lived at the local pools in town that even had a water park for the kids. Right across the road was the Friut and Vegetable Market of Willie Mar, the Chinese immigrant who moved to Winton in 1923 to grow and sell produce to the local station farmers. He spoke no English for years and grew everything he sold. Its such a great community story that when he died in 2000 at the age of 85 (in his garden) the town all chiped in to create this tribute of his Veg Market shack frozen in time.

11.01.2022 The rebel in us both just had to stack rocks after we got told it was now prohibited.... as its....TOO DANGEROUS ! Sorry Karen #livingontheedge... #nocottonwoolkidshere See more

08.01.2022 Our home for the next 10 days. The more we travel the more I love finding these quiet family owned parks over the big flashy ones with all the bells and whistles.

05.01.2022 We had a great time in Mackay meeting gorgeous new friends and getting a great idea of what the rainy season is really like! We now have to head back to Hervey Bay for a few weeks to get some leaks in the van repaired! Its a great chance to catch up with family and friends.....and fit in a sneaky little trip to Melbourne to meet our newest family member Beau .

03.01.2022 Qantas Founders Museum Longreach. Wow what a great place to see, I had heard from other travellers that this was a must see and do but I wasn't really too fussed really but I'm so glad I booked. Our tour of the 4 planes outside kicked off and the girls LOVED it, our guide chick was great, well from what I heard if it at the back listening to Livvy screaming 'PLANES PLANES'. .... We were shown all aspects of each plane inside and out. After nearly 2 hours it was nap time for Liv. The great thing was that our passes are 'all day', so we left and came back in the arvo to check out inside the museum.... which was actually so cool, they have amazing history and fun interactive stuff!... see next post for pics We Highly recommend for anyone out this way! #caravaningwithkids #travelingaustraliawithkids #Qantas #Thetfordaustralia

01.01.2022 What a long process this has been! But we are extremely happy with the outcome and can't wait to finally hit the road tomorrow. Due to Covid we couldn't get the car we first wanted and ended up buying a beautiful Ranger from Biloela. Then the waiting started to get all the accessories in. One delay after the other but now 3 months further we are ready to travel Australia!
