19.01.2022 The exciting news I can now announce is my new business name and logo........... Four Feathers Hairdressing I thought what a great time to start a new chapter than with a new name and brand.... This name is very close to my heart and has a lot of personal meaning to me. The feather symbolises my dad who left us suddenly 2 years ago and is in memory of him. The number four is also a very significant number to me for a few reasons but one is that my starting date of this new chapter was the 4th of March. There has been so much put into the design of this logo from my amazingly talented friend Loz. I had absolutely no idea the lengths one goes to to create something like this. I’m sure I was painful to deal with at times because of my indecisiveness (haha sorry Loz) but she was so patient, helpful and knowledgeable throughout this process. If you need any graphic designing done, please get in contact with her, you won’t be disappointed at all. 16.01.2022 I really hate having to make a post like this but I have been given no choice. Lately, I have had so many clients not turning up to their appointment, big appointments that I allow hours of time for. Or cancelling last minute. This is extremely frustrating because I run my business by appointment, so not only does it completely throw out my day, I have generally turned away or had to book clients wanting those particular times, for other times, or completely lost the client ...altogether because of the wait times. I am only working for another 9 weeks before I go on maternity leave, so my time is precious and I can’t afford to be sitting around for hours on end because of a ‘no show’ or late notice cancellation. My booking system sends out reminder messages 48 hours before an appointment to avoid these situations from happening. So because of this, I’m having to put in place a booking fee and cancellation policy. Moving forward, the policies are... * I will require a 30% non refundable deposit on all new clients (worked out on the total of the booking cost). * I will also require 24 hours notice on all cancellations, otherwise there will be a charge of 30% of your original booking to be able to reschedule to another time. I’m really sorry to have to put these policies in place, as most of you do the right thing and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope you all understand and I look forward to seeing you all over my last coming weeks . Leah

03.01.2022 I just want to wish all my followers a happy new year and take the opportunity to thank you all. What a year it has been! So many struggles and challenges, in every shape and form, for many people, including myself. A huge positive was the leap of faith I took in March this year, relocating my business after 20years. Something that took a long time to come to a decision on, but I can safely say, was the best choice I’ve ever made.
