18.01.2022 Google could have dropped a bombshell on the Android market last week by announcing thir flagship device with big batteries, crazy cameras. Instead, we got the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 fine smartphones, sure, but decidedly mid-tier devices. You should hold off on buying the new Pixel until you’ve taken a few moments to consider Samsung’s competing phone, the just-released the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (FE). The S20 FE is a more powerful phone for the same amount of money as Google’s best Pixel. It’s also available right now, unlike the Pixel 5, which arrives 29th October and the Pixel 4a 5G, which will hit sometime in November.
18.01.2022 Huawei launches a 14-inch MateBook here in Australia within the week. The lightweight 14-inch notebooks have been designed to work well in a school environment. Multi-touch is also available as an option, which tracks multiple touch inputs and supports Fingers Gestures. Huawei Share is included with this laptop, which enables file transfer and collaboration between the laptop and your Huawei smartphone. Users can edit files on their phone directly from the laptop and the smar...tphones can access the microphone and camera on the laptop to make or answer audio and video calls without picking up their mobile phones, this may cause an issue, especially when Huawei has designed this new laptop to work in schools for students, and finally, a fingerprint power button integrates the fingerprint sensor into the power button for fingerprint log-ins to the computer. The Huawei MateBook 14 will retail at $2,499 Australian Dollars and is available in Space Grey. See more
15.01.2022 The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite, which is arguably the best e-reader on the market, is down to its lowest ever price as part of an early Prime Day deal. For just $90 USD, you can pick up the all-new Kindle Paperwhite 8GB model and enjoy three months of free Kindle Unlimited, Amazon’s subscription service that lets you access millions of eBooks. Amazon has also discounted the Kindle Kids Edition, which is down to just $70 USD, which is 45% off its regular price. ... The Kindle Kids Edition comes with a 2 year worry-free guarantee and one year of Amazon Kids+, that gives your child access to thousands of books, shows and educational programmes all catered for children. The all-new Amazon Kindle Paperwhite is a much-improved reading companion, adding in water resistance to its six-inch, high-resolution display. It also now comes with Audible, allowing you to pair the best wireless headphones or Bluetooth speakers to the device and listen to your books. With an impressive battery life that lasts weeks, not hours, you’ll be hard-pressed to find an e-reader that comes with as many desirable features as the Kindle Paperwhite.
14.01.2022 Google has rebranded G Suite to Google Workspace, they release new icons for their line up and more features to celebrate. With Google’s G Suite representing their major product for workplace productivity, it is one of Google’s most critical products in that it actually creates direct revenue. Today Google has launched the first major revamp of the service since it launched: say hello to the new Google Workspace. Calling this a rebrand with a slap of new colours isn’t complet...ely fair, Google has brought new pricing tears, new features and a deeper link to collaboration to the suite, sorry, Workspace. For those not using Google’s paid offerings, Google has promised to bring enhancements to Google for Education and consumers. Within this update Google has added their branding colours to more apps with Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs, Sheets and Presentations, Google Meet is also getting it's icon rebranded, the four colour treatment, Red, Yellow, Green and Blue. Overall G Suite was ready for a rebrand from at least a design perspective, hopefully, the other updates and continued development will be beneficial to users. I know there’s one thing that paid users would love, and that’s their Workspace accounts to be granted the same features as free Google accounts when it comes to all of Google’s wider services.

07.01.2022 Google has been repositioning all of its smart home products under the brand NEST, and that includes its smart speakers. One of the last holdouts to be upgraded as a Nest product was one of the company’s first smart speakers, the Google Home. But the new Google Nest Audio sounds like it’s actually packing in a decade’s worth of improvements, Google’s Nest Audio might be the best sounding smart speaker you can get for $149 AUD. The Google Nest Audio is an odd replacement for t...he original Google Home. Unlike the company’s debut smart speaker, which was deployed as a command centre for Google Assistant, Nest Audio is positioned as a great-soundingbut not too expensivespeaker and a hands-free home hub second. At $99 US, the Google Nest Audio is $30 US less than the original Google Home and primed to compete with the all-new, spherical Amazon Echo. With the influx of people spending more time inside, investing in one of the best smart speakers is a good place to start.
